Well, I've just gone through a bit of a hoo-haa myself (how do you write that)... Talking ONLY about the top cap here (worth highlighting as I'll use the word button)
Since my last post I found myself thinking - can this become a hybrid (I noticed whilst the Expromizer seemed to fit flush, my KF's wouldn't come close to sitting flush... I removed the (err, sort of, sort of self removed) the button set into the Derlin on the top cap and played - the problem with the KF's was the threading in the Derlin, I think (really not sure) I took it apart (nice Hybrid without the Derlin insulator - need to think as to whether or not I trust it) and when I came to reassemble I had a rare old time - without talking about Marigolds to remove the Derlin and the risk of cross threading the button (oh wait - I just did talk about...) allow the Derlin to sit fairly loosely and ensure the button has it's nipple pointing DOWNWARDS - there is a screw slot on the top of the button (although it's very shallow) ... - Good luck getting the button in square.
To describe mine: The Kayfun sits flush, the Derlin is just attached (first half turn, I guess) to the top cap and the button is perhaps half a turn into the Derlin... Throw is around 1 mm and it works... Be warned though, the bottom button appears to sit very slightly askew of the lock ridge in the tube meaning that one edge is just below the base of the tube... this means, if you place the 49 on a flat surface and press down, it will fire. I haven't tried it with something heavy like a full Squape yet so I don't know if it will beat the magnet and autofire.
Can't decide if I'm happy with this mod or not.
But I do know I've been playing with it for an hour when I should be playing with the flashing on the flat roof of the dinning room extension (beware cowboys who hold the felt in with poor mortar - grrr grrr grrr)

Mine's here as well, ordered 5 Jul 2014 01:20 BST, arrived 16 July 2014 10:15 BST 11 days and 9 hours and that includes 2 weekends, cant get better service than that FoclecigCan someone explain the magnetic switch to me please, should it repel FROM the battery (my guess) or attract? Mine has arrived in the 'attract' state but I'm guessing that is for shipping safety to stop it bashing around Hey Q At risk of generating a face palm response (don't feel bad, you should see the multiple imprints that remain on my visage) ... Magnets will only repel an opposing magnet. There's no magnet in the battery Now, about my own imprint - I thought "interesting design - gravity holds the button which is attached to the magnet). The black Derlin ring with the magnet in the middle will slide off - turn it upsidedown and attach it to the battery negative. Now place the button into the tube. Have a bit of a discussion with it and then it will locate correctly. And enjoy the amazingly short throw. What do you think of the threading on the top cap?

The 4 nine has landed , that was way quicker than expected ! Likewise. Short mod, short throw. What do you think of it? Mine seems pretty good, although the button magnet will need some cleaning.

If it's the same colour I suggest you get yourself straight down to A+E Same colour probably means it's beyond A&E's intervention.

Likewise no tax (yet).
Worth remembering how the exchange rate plays - it's been favourable for a while but may become less so....
Err - favourable? Hmmm - my relatively insignificant savings are partly in USD and I would love to see the exchange rate become less FastTech favourable soon (before I have to drag the monies back).

A lady friend of mine who would know about such things (professionally, not what you may think and the friendship is not what you may think).
Now, she would advise that anything of that shape with that kind of pattern should be avoided at all costs. Any hint of drips on the tip would compound that advise.

I offer a little spoken word for your listening pleasure: The Doors playing WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)
and, not part of the game: in homage to all the late Ramones (RIP Tommy)

That's so generous of you Dave tomj777 have you tried? I confess not yet - nor the bamboo wool (I gave half of the latter to Barbara) She gave me some Rico ribbon wool - and I started my experiments with that - for not good reason other than closeness on the desk (three kayfuns to cover different juice behaviours). I shall report back,

Try just a little to get that first taste... Then make some notes. Put the rest in the cupboard for a few weeks and repeat. I reckon it's at its best about six weeks down the line. It will get you closer to the goal.

babs When Snake Oil is young (say a week or so old) the citrus fruits / Anise is quite profound - as it steeps (and steep it must) the rounder body comes to the fore.
