By what I've experienced and the features, spring loaded centre pin and the price difference between the MVP and the VTR , the VTR seems to be a much better buy.
The only two downsides I can think of quickly are that the VTR can only take up to certain size atty's ( I don't know up to what size it can take, can someone confirm this for me ? ) and there isn't any kind of passthrough system for it.If that's it I can live with that.

Just been having a scout around and I 've seen some indications and posts the VTR V2 has a spring loaded centre pin, can someone with one confirm this for me please.
Many thanks.

VTR - am a huge fan snow... Bit heavy but you soon get used to it..... and a girlie leather wrap from vapor lady lounge... Remember VE Jason is going to give me a new one if mine lasts till 19th November 2014 I have looked at the VTR @johanino but that would mean buying batteries, a charger, different coils etc. whereas the MVP will take my current tanks, and I'm not all that fussed on dual coils as I like a very cool airy vape so am happy with my Protanks not to mention I have a large stockpile of coils and coloured glass tanks etc already bought and paid for. The appeal of the MVP was that it gave a longer battery life and would work with the stuff I already have, which is why I had ruled out some of the other mods as well. Hi snow have a look HERE A full VTR kit delivered for £70 and all you would have to get is a spare battery on top , I don't think that's bad at all

What's wrong with buying online Montana? If your order from myepack now, you'll have it tomorrow Two reasons really ,
First , I'm a bit old fashioned and really like B & M stores and like to support them and certain products are only sold face to face in B & M stores and there should be plenty of choice.
Second , when you have a good B & M store you will have a range of devices to try and you can have a look at and give it back if you don't like it , it's never that simple when you don't like/ or it doesn't do something the way you want it to and then have to spend time and maybe money returning it, then going over the whole process again.
I've come to the stark realisation that there are a lot of products that seem to be roughly the same on paper but you really only get a feel for them ( pardon the pun ) in the real world when you're using them.

The nearest place I can get a VTR from is 25 miles away ( that's OK ) but it's very expensive at £75 without batteries or a charger.

The vendor that I purchased my MVP from doesn't look as though they do ANY mods at all now , I must admit that he didn't carry to much as his shop is split between two ventures and the Ecig side is definitely a very low 2nd , so It's going to be getting my money back. The second problem I have is living in the south east and the total lack of B & M stores that either a) I can trust or b) has anything other than basic stock.I live on the West Sussex / Surrey border and by the looks of things the nearest and easiest place that has a lot of variation in products is the UK Ecig Store , but that's in Wembley and that's a 120+ mile round trip !!!

32 minutes ago . I'd stuff the protank 2's and get an anyvape davide from p-vapers
www.p-vaper.co.uk/epages/es152439.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es152439/Products/158&ViewAction=ViewProduct
and yes yes YES get the VTR!!!!!
Don't forget the air flow controller for the davide though (main prob with VTR I've come across) - www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Accessories/Airflow-Controller.html
Why would you drop the Protank and use the Davide ?? Having said that , the Protank II is still a tight draw even with the airflow controller fully open !

I've only yesterday just watched both video's and now I can see why Provari's are so well thought of , I just hope they have thought forward of todays devices and not just up to todays devices.
I say this because they take a long time in between devices , that they need to think ahead of what's coming round the corner and then they will still be current.
I actually don't think they need to do a tremendous amount , they need VW as well as VV , have higher wattage to keep up with the competition and maybe sub ohm'able ( I kno wthat's not a word, but I liked it ) and last but not least have some options to it makes it look as though it's a mech mod , e.g having a screen that's not obvious and maybe auxiliary buttons that blend into the mod a bit like the spinner II.Only one other thing and it maybe just for me , but that would be having a sprung loaded pin so it could never suffer from pin push.
Whatever it has it will still be very , very popular and I suggest that if anyone has the chance to get one and can't decide JUST because of the money side of things , then just take it , with the amount of QC that goes into these devices and thought over function , it won't let you down unless you REALLY abuse it badly.

Don't over-tighten. We already know that different atties compress the 510 connector by different amounts. If you overtighten an atty with a longer than normal connector it can over-compress and damage the 510 connector on your mod/battery. It doesn't need to be screwed right down. It's best to screw it on til it makes connection, then no more than 1/2 a turn more. To get rid of a gap make use of the top ring or the beauty ring to close that gap and give added support to a larger atty. This is also relevant to the charger for ego batteries. Plug the charger into your mains adapter first - green light, then screw the battery onto the charger til the battery's light flashes - red light, then 1/2 turn more and that's it. The 2 above tips will help prevent damage to the connector itself. I can vouch for this ( have a look at my thread HERE ) as it's happened to me , BUT sometimes the combination of certain tanks and mods , or even just a particular tank being a few micons to long and pushing down the pin in the battery/mod , because the tank gets nowhere near the beauty ring/top cap and seems to loose so you end up tighten it a bit more so it's secure and you eventually end up with a short warning. Then when you realise you can undo the beauty ring/top cap to secure the tank.To me though this isn't satisfactory and should NEVER be needed to be done.I put a solution ( well it wasn't me , it was something I saw ) in my thread and that is having a sprung loaded pin so you can never have a pin pushing problem , and the only mod I've seen that on is the Sigelei 20W , more manufacturers need to do this. Then the ONLY way you can get problems is by WAY overtightening the tank and striping the threads but that is difficult to do and your fingers should tell you that it's tight before you strip the threads.

After much fiddling and trying different things I've come to a conclusion that was a bit of a surprise to me.
What is it I hear you ask, and the conclusion is that the Protank II with or without the airflow base is a pin pusher. The Protank II is now doing the same thing to my Vision spinner as well.I can't screw it down so it stays tight enough for it not to come loose easily.Again I have to screw the tank down so it will connect ( but it's still quite wobbly ) and then unscrew the beauty ring up to the bottom of the tank so it tightens up.
I don't know what to be more disappointed with , the mod for the pin to move in a month or the tank to push the pin so I get battery warnings.I was just wondering if anyone else has had this with any of their tank or atty's ?? That's why when I saw the review of the Sigelei 20W I really liked the idea idea of the sprung loaded pin, so it can't get pushed and any tank SHOULD ( in theory ) fit with no problems and the tank won't come loose and no fiddling with beauty rings to keep the tank secure. I think ALL mods should come with sprung loaded pins and my reason for this is , when people ( and sometimes through no fault of their own ) they get a NON genuine product and sometimes ( In my case ) a genuine product that MAY cause pin problems this won't happen. Then the tank whether it's a EGO or a 510 fitting will just sit nicely on the MOD or battery. The only way then to damage a battery or Mod would be stripping the threads, and even as heavy handed as I can be this would be a lot less likely to happen.
I hope the above has made sense and wasn't to confusing.
So , are there any other batteries or more importantly Mods that have sprung loaded pins other than the Sigelei 20W ??

The only recommendation I can give you is to purchase a stand alone ohm checker to prevent excess wear on the centre pin on whatever you buy, you can pick one up for around £5. Good luck with whatever you decide to purchase. When I do, and it's going to be soon , lol , I will be getting a separate ohm checker.
IF I had the facilities I would know exactly what to make and from what parts and the right software changes too, just a pity I'm not , .
As you said I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and get one of the choices, but I'll probably chop and change 50 times before I get one.

One other thing that forgot to mention about the Sigelei 20W is and unfortunately it's a downside is the fact is starts at 7W , I would have preferred it to start at something lower like 5.5-6W. I know it's only a minor thing, but at the moment I seem to prefer the cooler vape, that may change with time , better kit ( tanks and juices etc ) or may tastes change , just thought that I would mention that.

If it's just the provari style you're wanting then I seen a member on here had purchased a provari clone, Perpetua maybe ? She may be able to tell you her opinion of it It's not really the Provari STYLE I want it's the build quality.People have mentioned how good these are built etc etc etc. The couple of things that put me off is a) the screen look- looks like an old calculator , not very good for a MOD of this price range , b) The price - as mentioned above it's way higher than other vv devices out there , even some DNA30 Mods , c) VV only , I would like to have seen , especially by now a VW version OR a new device with VW in as standard.
I'm just a little wary of the NO step down feature of the Sigelei 20W, like I said, have I missed another VV or VW device ?

After a month have got a problem with my pin either dropping or the O-ring has already fallen apart. When I put my Protank II on and it connects it's still loose and wobbles every so slighty , but if I screw it down any further then I get "NON" on the screen. The only way I have found to get around this is by screwing the tank down till it just connects then unscrewing the beauty ring until it locks against the tank , but it's fiddly and I have to mess around every time I need to fill the tank.I'm currently using the MVP to check my EVOD rebuilds for ohm's and doing a lot of flavour tasting so I guess I'm taking on and off tanks and bases quite often , but even so , 1 month and it's failing, not really impressed to be honest.
So, as the title suggests what could I get , that would be a good replacement ? I had thought of getting the VTR but I've seen quite a few problems with them on here to.The reason I was going to get VTR was the different connection ( not having an ego style , just the 510 ) and I don't want to go down the mech mod route as I don't know anything about them really.I've seen a lot of good things about the Provari but they are over 4 times the price, so I would expect so and that's without 2 batteries , charger and a EGO adapter and only VW.Also looked at the Vamo but they seem to have thread issues too. So, I really seem to be a bit stuck , or so I thought. After having this thread just sit for a while before I posted , I have just watched the Phil Busardo review of the Sigelei 20W and what I saw was very interesting , first , a sprung loaded centre pin , brilliant , why doesn't every one do this ? The scope reading are very good especially at the kind of Watts and ohm's I vape at ( normally about 7-7.5W @ 1.5-2.2Ohms ) is this a good choice ? OR is there something else out there which I haven't seen, as my only reservation is not having a step down which pushed up the wattage.
Perhaps I've read to much and got confused over everything , so let me know.

I've been looking at getting a dripper but have NO idea of where to start.I have a bridged 306 atty and it gets very hot very quickly and after about2 or 3 puffs it's way to hot and tastes disgusting even at lower voltages/wattages.
I'm looking at the £10-20 mark for one possibly ( If I need it ) with adjustable air control and easy ( ish ) to rebuild.I currently recoil my Evod and Protank II heads with 0.25 Kanthal and cotton wool over a 1.5mm drill bit, is that what I'd need for a new RDA/Dripper or something different ? I'm relatively new to vaping ( nearly 2 months ) and I'm still trying to find an ADV as well as flavours that I would use occasionally, plus there is nothing wrong with trying new flavours when they come out.
If I'm out and about would I need to re-wick my RDA/Dripper when changing juices or can I just chuck in another juice and wait for the flavour to come through , I know that STRONG flavours like menthol and Anise would need to be cleaned and re-wicked, but these are just occasional.
I currently use 2 devices a Vision spinner and a MVP II , are these good enough to drip with ?
So , really you need to treat me as a total noob on the subject.
