Got to say, I am finding using nickel is much easier to coil and set than kanthal....Great stuff.

hijack I wouldn't worry that's near enough, there's lots of variables and we are talking really small differences here. Your wire may be slightly shorter in total than steam engine, the wire ID will have a tolerance so may be slightly thicker than .3mm or not uniform. Your meter may be out as you suggest also. The important thing is what it reads on the mod you use it on at room temperature and that the reading is stable. I wouldn't worry about 0.03 ohms difference. The problem was more when I had tried duel coiling an atty and was getting readings of .07 instead of the .11 that I was aiming for(as Mod will only go down to .1) and was ending up doing 11 wraps per coil using the .2mm wire, way to big for a nice fit. Ill just assume for now that the meter is a few 100th out and when the mod gets here Ill have that 7 wrap duel coil in there, no problem

I just thought I would put this question here instead of new thread. I have made a few coils while my TC mod is on way (practice) and have noticed that they are coming out lower than they should(steamengine). Above is a 9 full wrap (i think), coil of .3mm NI200 which reads .15 Ohm on my FT meter. Steamengine is saying it should read .18 Ohm. Do you think its likely my meter is a few points out? or am I missing something from what you see? robby VapingBad Ripshod @scooby

No you are right VapingBad the flavoring does probably work out a bit more than nic, even when you buy in smaller quantities e.g. 500ml nic, pg+vg and 100ml of flavoring.

Next step after finding you like to sub Ohm.......All the crap to MIX YOUR OWN.....Unless you like spending £20+ a week on liquid. Seriously, when you go down to 6mg or less, mixing is very very cost effective. Nic being the most costly part of mixing.

Cant speak for the Atlantis as an atty, but looking at Power:coil ratio 80W is pretty high for a .3 Ohm coil, and would need a lot of air to keep it on the cool side. A .3 coil will draw 58W from a fresh battery minus the electronics. A .4 coil will draw 44W from the same, A .5 coil will draw 35W Going over these basic power to coil ratio's start to require more airflow to keep things cooler. Sure if you suck like your trying to get a golf ball through a hosepipe, then you could keep the temp down a bit when pushing past these numbers. As you tried 60W, which is closer to the norm power for that coil, and it is still to warm then you probably need more airflow or a reall long driptip to put some distance between mouth and atty Try 50W which is what you would get when a battery drops to 3.9V on a mech. It might produce the cooler vape your looking for.

These are 2 duel coil sugestions. I got these 2 a few weeks ago and out of the 4 new atty's i got, they are the 2 I just cant put down right now. The Goliath from FT. Less than a tenner, loads of flavor, but you may find a bit tight to build on due to small chamber size. Also The Silverplay from FT. Very similar to goliath in look and very similar performace, easier to build on due to larger chamber size. Both have very free air-flow. Cant think of a better single coil RTA than what you have already. Really dont think the ordinary Kayfun will provide the airflow you want, but out of the 4 I have The Monster has had the best airflow for Kayfun style atty by far. Still wont match the 2 above for flavor though.

Well myself and thatguy Im sure are talking the same vendor, and it would seem both of us have had no issue at all with the nic we recieved. It could be down to this chest infection you have or you may just be more sensitive to any changes in the mix. Have you tried another vendor of premade? Up to the time I started mixing my own I would buy from LTecigs (energy drink page) (I still manage to source all my flavorings apart from CCW there) I found him to be very consistent with the mixing. Might be worth trying if it gets you back to vaping only.

Heard something similar from a few people who complained to a nic vendor about the nic he sold them. Although from their description of the color of the nic I thought I had got the same stuff. Mine seemed OK so I thought maybe their minds were playing tricks on them over the off color. But 'coughing and reaching' was what they described when trying juice made from the offending nic.
