First of all (while I can still type after just coming down from such a massive nicotine overdose ) I would like to offer huge thanks to all who contributed to my recent thread "Subohm vaping ... what's it all about?" allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/56294/sub-ohm-cloud-chasing-all That is: Greg Tom Perpetua keepitgoin @tedster Dave toots reefcat GunJack tim Jerri Get Off My Cloud VapingBad drunkenbum and chykensa I received my eleaf istick 50w and my kanger subtank mini in the lunchtime post and set it up using the preinstalled 0.5 ohm head and some 10mg liquid (I normally vape 18mg). Set the istick to 25 watts and the subtank to the smallest air hole setting (I am normally a MTL vaper). Wow ... just Wow!!!!!!!!!What a revelation ... tons more flavour than with my normal set up and the nicotine rush was unbelievable. I then thought "let's see what this lung inhale malarkey is all about": opened up the air flow to max and gave it a go .... needless to say, after a few of those, I had to go lie down for 5 minutes!
So folks, if like me you have been dismissive of subohm vaping as being the territory of cloud chasing nutters, I urge you to give it a try. Huge increase in flavour and loads of vapour (if you are into that sort of thing). But be warned you will need to at least halve your normal nicotine level.
I have been totally converted but, as a chain vaper, I will need to reduce my nicotine level down to 6mg or else keep the subohm vaping for a special treat.
Once again, a massive thank you to those involved in opening my eyes

That's it no going back now, throw all your old stuff in the bin.... seriously, glad you're enjoying it... I was somewhat apprehensive of sub ohming and lung hitting due to the above, I know I'm a "chaser" by nature but I still MTL most of the time, get more flavour from it, have learnt when I direct lung to roll the vapor over my tounge, is nice with a beer...

. . . . . well chuffed I am to read of your ' conversion ' @yinyang!! I wonder how long it will be now before you start looking at other subohm goodies. Enjoy.

Don't be surprised if you find some flavours that don't play nice with sub ohm
I have some that are lovely around 1.6 but just don't give me the same joy with a 0.5

Glad you're enjoying it @yinyang. There is something very satisfying about. I cut from 18mg down to 6mg as soon as I went subohm. Be warned though, you'll be wanting a selection of tanks soon lol

I rather felt the same when I got my first tank, the Innokin iSub polycarb tank, and certainly proved to be a new and fun experience. The flavour is great with the .5 ohm coil which has lasted for some weeks now, and the massive (to me) clouds were a novelty, and a sort of bonus. I still like to puff away on my Nautili's (large and small), but I have been converted to getting sub ohm tanks. I do have the Atlantis v1 and v2's (clones), and intend at some point to get the iSub G, and the Triton. I am also trying to get tanks that take coils I already have, hence the iSub G and Triton tanks, rather than having others that need new types of coils. But that is just me. For some reason, perhaps due to their past performances on some tanks (based on video reviews), I have never been that keen on Kanger offerings, and find all I want in Aspire/Innokin tanks. Back when I first started vaping I had the Kanger EVOD which leaked and gurgled a bit, and put me off, the Aspire BDC ET-S tanks didn't. Things may be different with Kanger these days, but I would need a lot of arm twisting to start buying them. I agree with stej though, some of my flavours do not seem to taste the same in these sub ohm tanks, but it may be my worn out taste buds. Generally speaking, I just use 70/30 VG/PG 3mg for the sub ohms, and 50/50 PG/VG 3mg for everything else, it depends on what I have in stock.

I've got to admit my tank of choice at the moment is the iSub. My subtank mini purely gets used for my temp control mod now. The flavour is so much better from the iSub in my opinion. It's a bargain too!

baron ... I was never a big fan of kanger clearos myself but having watched Phil Busardo's review of the subtank mini I decided to give them a try. I am very impressed that they can produce a top quality tank that can use stock heads for those that do not want to build their own coils and comes with a RTA for those who do. All that for a quarter of the price of a high end tank like the Kayfuns.

Stop it, stop it.....at once !! drunkenbum - I am glad you are another fan of the iSub, dead easy to take apart and clean, and so far not suffered from any cracking, although I don't think any of my juices are liable to do that, and as you say, it was quite cheap. You are now tempting me to venture into the Kanger world, and must admit that their range of sub ohm tanks do now look rather appealing, what with the supplied rebuildable bases, which would give me the basic kit should I venture into that world as well. Yes, the subtank Mini does rather appeal to me I must admit. Which would mean stocking another type of ready made coils....*sigh*

I was exactly in your shoes a month ago @yinyang it has definitely got me off the fags for ever, something I couldn't have done with MTL I now have 4 subtanks and have today received my first TC mod (Dovpo). Sadly I am still waiting for a delivery of nickel wire so TC will have to wait. However, I have also got 3 RDAs, and they blow the subtank out of the water IMO. I have a Mutation V3, Royal Hunter & a Plume Veil, all of them give a fantastic vape at .4ohms kanthal and 40 watts or so. I am now vaping 6mg, whereas with my Kayfuns in the past I even tried 40mg of nic to try and get the hit I needed, needless to say it didn't happen then. Hope you're enjoying the journey as much as I am.

Still not sold on this cloud chasing malarky I don't mind a session once in a while but I couldn't see myself doing it full time. It just makes a welcome change now and again. But no way is the flavour better than a properly coiled and wicked decent rda.
