Made a schoolboy error last night and vaped Penny without opening the juice control. The expected burning ensued which annoyed me, but I thought 'Hey, I can always rebuild the wick' and so left it at that. About an hour ago, I started rebuilding Penny. Bit of a bugger to get the central wick area out of the base (yes, I greased it up with VG before I started) and was wondering if I'd cross threaded the screws (I haven't, thankfully). However, I noticed that the central nut was loose which it certainly wasn't when I installed it and thought it was strange. Then I dismantled the whole assembly to find that the ceramic had cracked in 2 places - which means I now have a 3 piece ceramic. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! > It had to be the part that's as rare as Hen's Teeth (I was going to use the other euphemism but thought better of it) wouldn't it? I see that Cam is putting orders up on Tuesday night again. I wonder what my chances of getting some ceramics will be...? Was also considering gluing the ceramic back together with super glue, but am a little concerned if it would be safe to vape after that (with the chemicals in SuperGlue - including cyanide!). What do you think - has anyone else succeeded with doing that? Super Glue is a BAD idea. Forget I mentioned it.To say I'm annoyed is an understatement. I understand some of Ellen's frustration now. EDIT: Added warning

Quite enjoying the N7 - it's nicer to hold than an iPad when reading, as it does not strain the wrist as much. Have a couple of issues with Jellybean, but that's nothing that can't be sorted with an update or app. All in all, a decent piece of kit that will keep me busy for ages (especially as I've rooted mine).

Hi Paul, and welcome (from another Paul). Riva and Ego are almost the same battery, but there are slight differences. The Ego is regulated, which means that you get the same power delivery (hence the same vape) all the time you are vaping, until the power has drained. The Riva is not regulated, so the vape changes over time as the battery drains. IMO, the Ego is better for a consistent vape - but you will find a drain point where the battery will just stop supplying power - at which point you change/charge the battery. As others have mentioned, make sure that any kit you get has 510 connections. This makes them as compatible with other kit as possible (although you can get adapters that convert between certain connectors). As to vaping more - this is likely to be true if you find a flavour that you really like (and we all do that eventually). You can combat the increased vaping by reducing the amount of nicotine that's delivered - or even removing it completely. Something to keep in mind. Glad to have you here - they're a great bunch, and mildly witty...

I think that a key thing to remember is this:
Nickel Chrome wire has a high resistance - and is used for coils
Nickel wire (note the lack of chrome here) is the No Resistance (NR) wire as it's resistance value is so low it's negligible.
Don't get the two mixed up. If you want to be super-sure, then get yourself some silver 0.2mm wire for your NR purposes.

It looks like it *should* work - the USB connector needs an adapter (which they say comes with the item), however it's not actually designed for the N7, so you takes your chances.
Incidentally, I've had no screen issues either, but even if I did, I'd crack the device open and tighten the screws - that's all that's need to fix that 'problem'.

So that's three of us on here with the N7 then. All 16GB models I take it? A bluetooth keyboard would be much better to connect with. I've also been able to SMS from the tablet (using my phone) - and it can handle calls too - pretty neat app called Tablet Talk - will only work on Android phones though. What did you spend your £15 Google vouchers on?

If you can stretch to the GG, then snap QueenBee's hand off quickly! Sadly, it looks as if Lunardog got in there first...hey ho.

The 'Don is a battery holder, plain and simple. Very easy to change into mini mode (although you will need a screw driver to change the bottom screw).
Of the options you mention, I would recommend the 'Don, and that's not just because it's one I already own. I had to decide much like you do about which one, and the 'Don came out on top.
The GG mentioned would be an awesome buy - much better than the 'Don - but can you stretch to that?

Great post Where did you source your wick and wire? You can get the NiChrome you need from www.wires.co.uk. They point out that they're for rebuilding e-cigs on the items.

I was thinking about setting up opposite Dunlop in the small O-Ring market.

can't stop playing with my new Galaxy nexus 7, still need to get to grips with it and the abscence of flash is a PITA but so far so good! Do you have an Android phone? If so, backup the flash.apk file and manually transfer/install to the N7. EDIT: Note that built in Chrome won't play flash full stop. Get another browser called Maxthon.
