Well I finally got around to having another go with the re-buildable base; following the advice of blakey I stuffed a lot more cotton in to cover the airholes. The result was - no airflow at all I pulled the cotton out and cut about 2/3 mm off and re-stuffed it. It now works fine and after keeping it stood up all day, just the tiniest dribble of juice. A major improvement Actually I had no problem at all with it using the stock coil, but the re-buildable is much better if you can stop it chucking juice out. Worth persisting with. I did find some info about taking it apart chrisjwPost #122 here: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/46760/egrip-joyetech-hd-slideshow?page=9

The problem I have found is that a lot of battery recycling collection points (e.g. in supermarkets) do not accept Li-on batteries, so you have to search out one that will. Remember to keep a dead eGo or two as a "puller". Invaluable if you have an attie with the top stuck

May be worth considering the Heatvape defender. The 510 connector on these are replaceable - although I've not seen any replacements available! They are similar in price and power to the istick. I've not got one but I believe they are OK. I see Cloud9 are selling them which is a pretty good recommendation. No doubt you can get them cheaper elsewhere

Good excuse to remind people of a mod that came out some years ago and the optional attachment

Thanks dave . . . I had one in the Focus, did a really good job as well. Though they don't have a C1 liner it seems, which is probably no surprise - I've handbags that are larger than the boot on this car. Yes one of those may be a bit overkill. There is a link for "if your model is not listed" - no doubt they would give you a quote.

If you really want to go for it PerpetuaFor the ultimate protection and the avoidance of wet dog smell, these are supposed to be the bees knees: www.hatchbag.co.uk/boot-liners/citroenI might invest in one when we next change our car - the present one is beyond redemption

So long as there is a long enough bit of hollow metal pin sticking down for the feeder tube to join up to it will work. The only problem is that you can get a bit of leakage from the plastic feeder tube and sometimes it is necessary to add a bit of glue where it joins the metal pin (this used to be done with the Reos) or some other means (a metal insert or something) to get a snug connection between the two.

If you are happy with a basic eGo type battery, the Biansi ones are pretty good - I've had a few that lasted me for ages. The best place I have found to buy them is here: www.bargainvapour.com/Biansi_Imist__Ego_1100mah_battery/p1274299_6291065.aspxVery reliable vendor, postage cost is quite good and usually get to you within a week. Cheaper if you buy more than one and five colours to choose from Just to add that with the exchange rate against the euro at present levels - a good time to buy from Ireland

I got a couple of AWT 14650's (hardly anyone else does them!) and they are good, as is the rest of their range I believe. I got mine from Ecolux - a reliable ebay seller. Slightly more expensive but with me in a day or so You might want to edit the thread title robby in case anyone confuses these with AW

I'm sure you are a bit short of gold mods Perpetua I checked the envelope from them and it was impossible to read what value they had put on it! At anyrate I didn't have to pay anything this end

I've not come across this vendor before: frogI was looking for a Goblin during the China holiday period and none of the places I normally use had them in stock. I came across one here. I thought the website was nice and clear and they also seemed to give good indications of when things would be available, so I decided to give them a go. The Goblin duly turned up today having been dispatched as promised immediately at the end of the holiday period. They are maybe not the cheapest - you have to add on $4 or so postage, depending on which shipper you use. However they do seem reliable, based on my limited experience anyway. I don't know if anyone else has used them? Some of the cheaper vendors do seem a bit hit and miss, judging from what I have read on here, so these are maybe worth considering.
