My worst was a fasttech order that didn't ship for almost 6 weeks then they discontinued an item in it. After shipping it took another 5 weeks to arrive. Fair enough, the restocking was a fasttech cockup, but the 5 weeks from dispatch to arrival has to be laid at he feet of the shipping firms in china, international and UK.
I can send packages to Australia which arrive within a week, but our mail from China takes 2+ weeks on average ( I know epackets have improved this for many, but they still take a fortnight or more for me, in central belt of Scotland btw, not in some remote island)
We have aircraft capable of flying from China to the UK in under a day, but their is a huge under-investment in aircraft and infrastructure, and the usual silly red tape delays to consider. The only delays I'd put down to fasttech/gearbest/focalecig etc is the delay from order to shipping, the rest is down to the laughable inefficiency of mail couriers for international mail.
I'm sure that several plane loads of items are ordered in the UK from China daily, but the firms responsible for delivery don't invest in the capacity, and on top of that our local mail firms in the UK and the orient are woeful.
Personally, I'd allow 1-2 days for dispatch from China and 7-10 days in transit. Anything beyond this is just pure incompetence.
On this note I'd like to hand out a big "well done" to darkstar for the last order we placed. Previous orders for nic base have taken 10-14 days, this time the delivery was 3 days. Huge improvement guys, well done.

Thats pretty much where ive landed peter12.. less is more when it comes to wicking, if using organic cotton pads, if you cant tug the wick back n forth under tension inside the coil without it tearing or pulling the coil out of shape, your using too much fwiw in my limited experience while some utubes etc will suggest 3-6mm width of a cotton pad to roll to wick a coil 3-3.5mm in diameter i would suggest more like 2mm of a well expanded pad,, rolling with the palm of the hand of a paper towel in one direction (ie away ) on a flat surface is the easiest way ive found to get an even roll from a slice of a cotton pad. For most atties I do prefer a smaller diameter wick. for example the kraken (when I wick with cotton, i know, i know, it;s heresy, but great for some liquids) I use very thin wicks as the cotton will expand and create a choke in the wick holes if too thick. Chokes can also occur inside the coil on any atty. Aim to have your wicks uncompressed and able to pull through the coil with only a little resistance. They will swell when soaked with juice and if too tight will deliver juice to the coils at lower than optimal speed. As for wire gauge, kanthal is easiest to handle (IMO) from 0.35-0.55mm. Any thinner gets springy, any thicker takes a lot of strength to coil effectively. One widely unmentioned variable in wires is that thicker wires will result in a cooler vape than thinner ones. Steam Engine has a good resource in this link that will tell you not only the max and min resistance your (regulated) mod will fire, but also the "sweet spot". This is the resitance where your mod will fire at max power while not stressing the electronics contained within.
As always, please make sure you are using cells that can handle the current drains you will subject them to. This AAEC post will give more info on which cells to use.

50ml or multiples thereof can be great for those concentrates you mix at 20% (seems to be a lot of them). One 50m bottle= 1 10ml concentrate, add nic to desired strength, top up with VG. Very convenient.

The best Advice I can give you is to pin down our very own Nosmo-King and fairyrings , a lovely couple whom I believe are in your neck of the woods and tag along to a vape meet we have monthly in Edinburgh. You'll get to try a lot of new hardware and probably take home a lot of free e liquid as well/ On top of that we can promise a great day out.

I'm sorry to hear of those oxygen disposal unit that turned up to your meet Roscopecotrain . They should know better. I habitually drip at 90-100W at home but when at our Edinbugger I drop t 50W to not inconvenience the owner, staff and customers who happily allow us to frequent this establishment. Even then we all take care to not saturate the air with vapour. Fair enough, some of us cloud chase, but that's for a puff here and there. In general we behave so that the fantastic staff at the Scotch hop are happy to see us again, and kinda surprisingly, many punters show an interest in vaping.

Nice slideshow review as always paulymeatballs , can you answer the burning question ( you alluded to it in the review) . Is the firing pin a deal-breaker like the original sub-box? Tried many tanks and drippers on the original and only got the subtank mini and a mutation dripper clone to fire on it. The original sub-box has a lot going for it, but the heavily recessed non adjustable firing pin was a killer. Is the nano any better or are kanger still trying to force us to use their tanks on the mod? We have the sub-box at home and find it basically worthless because it wont fie our preferred tanks to to in-built obsolescence. Sham eon kanger and I hope they resolved this issue.

So...got a colleague off the stinkies before the summer holibobs.
She's on a spinner and evod setup we gave her and uses liquid recipies we gave her (shes a home economics teacher so mixing was logical for her)
She tried my work setup (kraken on a mech) and is now asking for a tank that gives similar flavor but uses premade coils.
Any idea what to recommend for her? I've tried subtanks, isubs etc and the flavor is really muted compared to my setup. Can I get her a tank with stock coils or am I doomed to rebuilding gennys for her?

You don't have to use a drill chykensa ties them to a sauce pan handle and spins that. I most certainly do - takes about 30 seconds from start to finish, and perfectly twisted wire as a result. Forget going out to the garage for a drill, oops, battery's flat, charge for 20 mins, can't find an Allen Key, now can't find the pliers for the other end, by which time I'm sat watching the TV with a lovely warm vaporous cloud of custard billowing from my freshly coiled atomiser. Pah, who needs technology when you've got a saucepan A man after my own heart. If I wanna twist wire or make claptons I'll do it at work. Too much hassle gathering tools together at home. Can't leave any tools around or our boys will "explore" them and cause stormageddon. Simplest wire twist setup = a keyring and mole grips(or any other clamping/holding device)

Do away with the needle Bobsbeer . . . . I never ever use them and have no problems drawing up even the thickest of VG. If I'm getting to the end of a bottle and a syringe won't reach, then I just pour off some liquid into a small measuring cup ( a shot glass will do ) then draw up from that. Easy peasy. That's the way to go Perpetua , but I've found 100ml plastic eliquid bottles (the ones with a flat screw on top and no nozzle) are perfect for decanting VG into. Very wide hole to allow plenty room for even large syringes to reach the very bottom and less faff than filling shot glasses or small measuring cups, and they can be sealed with a lid. This kind of bottle I mean

26650 VA phenom is the best mech I've seen that diameter. Link provided for images only, not recommending vendor (as I've never used them) First search result for the product. If interested shop around and find the best price you can from a reputable vendor. This is the authentic mod, clones are available far cheaper

Adding a half wrap will result in a slight resistance increase as less of the wire will be cut off when exiting the post. The reverse for removing a half wrap. The resistance will be the same for both initially, but will vary by +-0.5 wraps once the excess is trimmed after installation. Saying that, the change shoudn't make much of a difference to the vape, especially on a regulated mod. If used on a mech, err on the side of caution unless you fully understand ohms law and your battery specs and add the half wrap.

I don't have the "stop buying vapegear" problem with my better half, she encourages me to buy more so she can nab it.....then have me coil and wick it for her. If anything, I'm the one saying no more (mainly to concentrates as she has at least 100 bottles she wont use lying in the kitchen and at least as many bottle of e liquid.
Solution...all future orders delivered to my work...then at least I'll get to try out new tanks mods and drippers before they fall into the black hole that is the handbag of doom!

I'm loving the thread and the OP's dedication to growing his own produce. Would love to go for the whole "the good life" vibe, but don't have the space, and we have two kiddies....they kill the whole vibe. Anyways, since we don't have a garden here, I was thinking of making some planters for our small outdoors drying space and growing tatties, carrots and perhaps lettuce. Only real problem is what varieties of these could be grown in planters with a decent yield? We can use about 24x1.25 foot of space without inconveniencing others. The planters themselves can be made about 18-24 inches deep. With the limited undersoil space I'm thinking of moving from potatoes to peas and other above ground produce, but would love the fresh hand picked potatoes.
