Hello and welcome Speaking as a recent convert (and in the same position as you a few months ago), all I can do is let you know what I bought which worked out very well. There are plenty of experienced, helpful vapers on here who will no doubt give you further advice. Definitely go for a starter kit. I would recommend the Kanger Evod Glass myepack.co.uk/kits/evod-glass-starter-kit.htmlVery easy to use, well made and produce a decent flavour and vapour Charging is by USB but you can get hold of USB socket wall plugs if necessary AFAIK all juices work fine. Some are thicker than others. Have a look arounf the forum for advice on PG vs VG mix but if you aim for 50/50 you can't go wrong. Flavour wise the world is your oyster - buy several 10ml testers to try them out and you'll soon find something you like. Vendors I have used with a good range (and good service): Joose Juice/Red Juice/Myepack Strength? Advice seems to be it depends on the quantity of fags you smoked. 20 a day, you should start with 16/18mg - again perhaps buy some 11/12mg and see which works for you. In terms of how long things will last depends on how much you vape. An Evod tank of 1.5ml might last a day if you tend to vape in a similar pattern to fags (ie popping out every so often at work etc.). Battery life will be similar. You can of course get through it much quicker if you're not careful Cost wise, it just makes sense. Yes, there is the initial outlay and getting some bottles of juice but considering a packet of fags is close to a tenner you WILL save money comparing it to your old habit. In time you can (and most likely will) upgrade batteries and tanks. I will leave it now for others to give you further advice. Ask lots of questions, everyone was in the same boat as you at one point and very happy to help. Spend lots of time researching on here and the various YouTube videos. Good luck and happy vaping!!

Yes. That's the one. I do have evod glass 2 I believe.
Have changed the coil and all seems ok for now. Maybe just a dodgy wick (but as it's almost impossible to see...)

Having got used to using an Aerotank with upgraded airflow valve at home on my mod and being able to get a nice draw, I wanted to improve the airflow on the standard Evod as draw seemed too tight in comparison (particularly with some juices). Want to continue to use Evods during the day when out and about (more compact/pocketable etc.)
Therefore I acquired a mini airflow valve to replace the base - much better results even on the lowest air setting, however, I now get a lot of leaking from the base of the coil. Previously there was occasionally a small amount of juice on the evod battery using the standard base however using the new valve it gets quite flooded to the point of leaking.
Why is this? Is it truly compatible with the evod? Am I doing something wrong?
What alternatives do people suggest for continuing to use the evod batteries with a slim tank? The 510 connection of Aerotank seems a much better solution but looks top heavy. Would prefer to stick to a Kanger/Unicoil type.
Second question - I have been keeping my original Kanger dual coils with a view to rewicking/coiling in future (when I get brave). Is the new enclosed design a cynical attempt by the manufacturer to ensure repurchase rather than recycling.
BTW I have also acquired some unicoils but not very impressed with them. How often to rewick?

Been vaping for a couple of months now. Just about kicked the fags - occasional lapse but not enjoying the taste now (Yay!) and just got a new car so no way am I going to smoke fags in there - good reason to stop Started with Evod glass kit - very happy with that Acquired an Aerotank and KSD Kmax from a user here (thanks again Mev). Added a v2 airflow valve. Like the extra capacity over the Evod tank and VV/VW to find the sweet spot. I prefer the size of the Evod battery when out and about at work and in the evening as less obtrusive in pockets etc. So, I'm thinking of getting another Aerotank (v2 this time) and upgrading the Evod batteries to VV and higher capacity. Looking at this myepack.co.uk/batteries/evod-twist-vv-1600mah-battery.htmlAm I right that this battery is a similar diameter to the Aerotank rather than the mini/Evod tanks? Presumably I would need a "straight" beauty ring? I am a bit confused as to the difference between Evod and Emow batteries - any clues? Also (other than looks) what is the main difference between Aerotank/Protank/Genitank in practice? Pros/Cons of each? Any other advice welcome?

I recently acquired some unicoils from you for use in Evod Glass and Aerotank
Please can you confirm what arrangement of silicone spacers you would recommend. Should the blue spacer be used with or without the white one? Without I experienced some leaking from the Evod however when using both there is vapour escaping from the join between the top and the coil base suggesting the seal is not quite tight enough (although it appears to be)
Any advice welcome
(seems to be fine in the Aerotank)
Apologies for what is probably a noob question

Hi there Been using the evod glass for a few weeks (standard kit setup). Trying out juices to find the right ones for me. Current favourites are Crystal Menthol, Jack Ripple, Melon of Troy. Would like to find a nice caramel flavour - any suggestions? Main questions (based on reasonable usage - maybe a full tank per day) Tips and suggestions for getting the most life out of the coil? How often to clean the coil? How often to replace the coil? What to look out for (burnt taste, less satisfying)? Gurgling and popping particularly if unused for a while? Normal? Are the kangar dual coils reasonably easy to rebuild? Are there any videos around? Seems all too fiddly to me (and my DIY skills are not good!!) Finally, seem on myepack that the dual coils have recently been upgraded (v3?) with mixed reviews. Any opinions here? Mine have the wicks poking out either side - which version is that? Sorry if this is all very basic stuff - but you seem to be a friendly bunch

Hi opensecret and welcome. I recently started vaping with the evod glass kit and certainly have no complaints so far. So good luck! Also like you I started casually smoking at Uni although quite a few years before you!! so well done for trying to quit so soon Interested to know why you the Protank Mini 3 as well? Perhaps a question for the more experienced vapers here.... Is the Protank mini a better clearo than the standard evod glass? Same coil and similar capacity?

As a new vaper (still trying to find the best juice(s)), what is the current position on vaping indoors in public places?
Is it essentially down to the establishment or operator?
I am thinking specifically of pubs, restaurants, trains, stations, airports.
I know for a fact that a couple of months ago SouthWestTrains stated on their website FAQs that e-cigs were allowed in stations and on trains yet now the "no smoking" rule refers to both analogue and electronic varieties.
Are we in a position of having to check by-laws each and every time and, worse still, suffer the objections, disgusted looks and "tut tut"s of holier than thou non smokers

Thanks for all the advice and welcome messages. I shall let you know how I get on. By the way the comment from Q "but I had my wife with me so I was only vaping when out of her sight" made me smile - know what you mean

New on the site and looking for advice on first move away from cig a alikes
Have been using Blu(skycig) for a few months. Reasonably happy - certainly satisfies the nicotine craving (I will admit though I haven't kicked the cigarettes fully yet - but want to)
Frustrated at lack of flavours and constant recharging batteries After a lot of research (boy, how confusing) I reckon on an EVOD 2 or EVOD glass starter kit to get me going.
A few questions: How long realistically does a 650mah battery last - using it mainly at work so going out for cigarette breaks? How long does a tank of juice last? Don't want to be re-filling frequently Reputable suppliers? I know there is a list on here - any recommendations? Juices - recommended brands, suppliers? (subjective question I know)
Any advice gladly received - thanks
