how I miss the Shopping China as it was, with members spotting and posting the latest products and bargains. It's not the same as it was. And what of robby ? I expect his garden will be in great shape this year. Stay in the Garden I say!....Got more Beer tokens spare now!!!!!

Gennys still produce the best flavour you'll find short of a dripper. You name it and I've tried it, but still always go back to my army of krakens. A genny build lasts for aeons when done right. Generally, I'll recoil my krakens about every 6 months, and rewick every week (with cotton wicks) or every 3-4 months with SS mesh/rope. A genny can sit with some juice in the tank or sit empty with a build no problem. I've had gennys sit in a cupboard for months with a half full tank and no problems have been apparent. The big thing with gennys is to find what wicking you like. Traditionally they have been used with SS mesh or rope, but the various types of cotton or silica are options as well. These days I find myself using jap cotton most often. 11 wraps of 0.4 kanthal (dual coiled) gives a 0.5 ohm build that is fantastic with thinner than usual cotton wicks at 30-35 W. Just be aware that your cotton wicks MUST be thinner than you normally use to prevent the cotton swelling and causing choke points in the wick holes. Another plus of a well built genny is that they never flood or suffer from RCS(rice crispy syndrome - snap crackle and pop) & You were doing so well 'till then!!!!

While You're waiting..... Assuming the pos. post nut has 'welded' to the post thread & is now snapped off... Oxidise mesh properly; Wrap 'round post; Wrap coil 'round mesh; Using some heavy gauge wire, wrap this tightly 'round post to secure coil pos. lead, instead of the FUBAR'D (F'd Up Beyond All Recognition!.. )) Nut. Check on Ohm meter/Reg. Mod. (This is how I make the connection on My In'Ax as the supplied spring-clips are the work of Satan!!!)

My 'cheat' for the NextGen/Nextiny?.. NR/R/NR wire, twisted for strength (ie. 2x 2.0 ohm for 1.0 ohm). & Yes, oxidise the f*** outta the mesh before making the wick. Also, I prefer to make the mesh wick fit the coil rather than wrap the coil 'round the wick. Still wish FT would supply replacement pin/510 assemblies as spares tho'!! Is Yours FUBAR'd?..........

For easy set up; gotta be a Kraken:- flat deck, big Phillips screws.....& dis-con. by Fast-Tech!!!?!... Best Flavour?..Origenny or Aquillo (again, FT clones..) but more fiddly to build. Great 'Out & About' Gennie?...Next-Gen or Nextiny, but again, fiddly 'cos of the small size. Best overall?...Wick an Origen RDA wiv mesh!
