I have n't re-built for weeks now:- since I've had My 'Gang' of Origen Drippers, I rotate 'em. I'm pulling the S/S rope wicks all the time & flaming them clean, ditto dry-burning the coils. Part of the 'rotation regime' is dumping the deck, coils attached into apple vinegar/baking powder for a day or two. I had to re-build a Kanger head t'other day tho' (both Next-Gens have started shorting on Me...) talk about fiddly!! Shows how quickly the hands forget how to do things!!

Am I being annoyingly pedantic by saying that it's the WICKS that get killed rather than the coils?....... Probably a bit of both tbh although the crap that ends up all over the coil is what makes it taste bad. Anyway, I ought to just s.t.f.u. 'cos I have n't got into TC yet!!

Impressed wiv a vertical coil on a Magma....even if I can't see it thru' all the fluff!.. Can't (easily..) do that using mesh 'cos of the 'figure 8' shape of the well; the air-hole is where I need the wick to go...anywhere else would result in massively long legs to the coil & 'hot legs'...or just a messy looking build wiv NR/R/NR wire. I've had a 'U' wick in it over Christmas....may have another play soon!

...Can someone start stocking porous ceramic wick please?... I'm enjoying using it in the In'Ax hybrid dripper (from Gearbest) & would like both replacements for the In'Ax......& longer ones to try in My Origen drippers & 'gennies! Too expensive here!!

Got the wood/brass, copper came today, solid mech, weighs some.... Are You getting any aggro wiv the fire button on either of Your 'baddys?...Every so often, I have to bend the silvered contact strip up (the 'bus-bar' style bit that the button connects wiv), I don't want to loosen the screw on the button contact in case it works itself out....just wondered!

This is gonna sound like I've been stranded on the bloody island for a couple of years already!..... Origin Dripper, twin 1.0 ohm 26g. Kanthal coils, ceramic wicks (proving this is fantasy!!!..) or real-world S/S rope...; Nemi; Home-Brew Latakia NET. AND....I've already been on the Island!!

Actually, those clearos are fantastic for the cost....I've still got some of 'em around (somewhere!..). With re-coiling & wicked with cotton, they vape as good as mini-protanks. Nice gesture prr ..........take Him up on it scoops !

Actually, I've noticed that more atties are appearing using the genius of the deck & eschewing the so-so top cap...eg. Fishbone Plus, that Avocado fing, etc...........
