I've been to Thailand twice since I switched to using e-cigs, and never had a problem taking and using my gear over there.
Even seen a few market stalls over there selling the small look a like E-cigs.

How are you getting on with your Alpha Ultra Bel? After having a toot on yours at Vapefest, I liked the flavour it produced, so I bought one the next day. So far, I've not had a problem with mine, really enjoying it. I'm finding my 306's work great in the RES. If im honest i really couldn't get on with it, loved the look and feel of it, so light but i guess im a provari girl at heart. you should of made me an offer I would of, but it was the wrong size, I just wanted somethin for takin out and about so got the smaller version. I like it that much I've bought another RES for it. To be honest though, the Alpha's aren't worth the RRP, they should be nearer the £100 mark.

The vodka bath definitely works, I soak my 306 atomisers after every 10mls of juice used, or when they get hard to draw on. After the soaking, just blow out and re-use. They then become much easier to draw on again. No idea if this method works on any other atomiser, but it does for 306's.
For the burnt taste, that sounds like the wick has burnt. Once this happens, it'll always taste burnt. Could try removing the wick and use as a dripping atty maybe.

Lucy, you're not doing anything wrong by the sounds of it. I got some Kanger cartos, out of the 5 pack, I used 3. They each were full with liquid. First couple of draws nice. Then the burny taste. I don't think the liquid reaches the bottom of the cartos fast enough. As a concept, they should work ok...(coil at the bottom, liquid running down), but in reality, they don't. Though some people swear by them, so maybe there's a bad batch going about and we got the crap ones For cartos, I find the dual coils to be the best for flavour and hit, and no hint of any of that vile burny taste. The boge LR's are pretty decent as well.

Just back from my weekend away, really glad I managed to squeeze a bit of Vapefest time in. It was lovely to meet a few forum members, everyone was as nice as I envisioned. And what an amazing haul of prizes for Bel and Steve. Very well done!

I think a big problem with E-cigs is the sheer amount of E-liquid combinations. Vg/PG/PEG - combined with different flavourings. It's not surprising the various intolerances you hear about. I'm in the food industry, and have to cater for different allergies on a more regular basis than I've ever had to. It's becoming more common. An aversion to E-liquid can be likened to a food intolerance. some folks will be ok, others will have side effects. Try a different E-liquid combo, hell, try 10, find 1 that does agree with you. But you gotta want to do it.

I've ordered a pack of buds to try. On a scale of 1-10, my expectations of them being any good are standing at about 2. I hope I'm proved wrong though.

Does anyone have any regular sized clearos (not XL) going spare to swap? I've looked around the sites and can only find XL clearo's. I've got Dual coils, stainless boge's or smokymisers I could swap. cheers Edit...sorted now
