For me it's all about options and finding your sweet spot, with sub ohm capable kit you simply have more options available for how you want your vape to be. My sweet spot for instance is 0.8 ohms single coil at 22w but I do sometimes whack in a higher or lower ohm coil just to mix it up a little. For me vapour density and flavour are the main things I like and sub ohm has given me more of both. It does give you options but in my experience sub ohm does not increase flavour. That's what makes vaping an individual experience because my taste buds tell me it does. It's all so subjective and dependant on so many other variables than simply the resistance of any given coil.

Aah, the light starts to dawn on me. That makes sense now, thank you tim. Seems EM is needed in quite a few of my mixes so best get back to the lab

Hi master mixers This his may seem a strange question but what makes a juice have that feeling of wetness? to explain.. When comparing some fruity mixes I have made with some vendor juices, the vendor juices feel wetter ( or juicier maybe) when vaped, if that makes any sense. Does anyone know what I mean and what helps that wetness/ juicy ness to come out?

Thanks for the tips folks, have added a couple of drops EM to the cherry cola and sweetener to the lemonade. I'll let it sit for 24hrs and try them again. Next time I order some concentrates I will add some vape wizard to my basket so at least I have it available if needed.
If all that fails I will look at increasing the favour percentages but the ones I mixed at around the 15% mark I found way too strong so maybe have gone a bit too far the other way. Guess thats the fun of this hobby - finding the sweet spot..

sydsut pretty sure my mix was correct. Thinking about it the only thing I did differently was put them in a jug of hot water to heat them up before shaking as the vg was very gloopy. Perpetua I haven't added anyhthing else to them, both simple recipes, the cherry cola was 3% flavour art cola and 1.5 dark cherry so that's all thats in it other than pg vg and nic, I have sweetener and ethyl maltose as additives so might try splitting the remaining juice and try some in each half, otherwise it's going down the sink

Evening mixers,
Made my first couple of mixes 2 weeks ago and a few more last weekend with reasonable success, chucked a few down the sink and a couple of real nice ones. The tricky ones I have at the moment though are a cherry cola and a strawberry lemonade - both are tasty enough but really really harsh on the throat, like vaping sandpaper after a couple of hits. Have tried At low ohms and at higher ohms on different at ties and drippers but always this harsh, peppery hit.
Does anyone have any tips for toning down that real harsh throat hit they both exhibit. Both are 6mg Nic and 60vg/40pg mixes??

Well i survived my first mixing session and must say, wow.. Once you get the hang of it and a little bit organised it is really straightforward. ended up mixing 6 bottles and have started vaping one and its really lush, a banana , dragonfruit, strawberry concoction called sensual predator.. The only thing I struggle with was shaking the damn things for ages till they got properly mixed, so after trying various tools ended up making myself a little ballon whisk from some 0.4 kanthal i have for coiling. Works an absolute treat - fits a 10 ml bottle and 45-60 secs on the drill and voila super mixed juice.. its a bit heath robinson and cost all of about 3 pence but works, wondered what you old hands at this mixing use to mix it all together.

Good video on rewicking a lemo for maxing your builds. Its a bit extreme but the less is more approach really works

Hi chuxsta I've got a Billow and its one of my favourites. Needs to be dual coiled but really chucks out the vapour nice and dense and flavour is good as well. Not quite as flavoursome as the Lemo but damn good anyway and much better than the Kanger sub-tanks imo. straightforward to build on and the post holes are large so you can get away with some real thick kanthal. I have 0.45mm kanthal macro coils in mine but you can go way thicker if need be. Mine set upo at moment on 0.7 ohm at 26w with airflow about 3/4 open and its a very smooth coolish vape - just how I like it build quality is good but not great, however everything fits nice and snug and no problems with threading or anything, just doesnt feel as well machined as some and packaging is cheap and nasty. all in all though its a great RTA and its being used all day withy no hiccups, leaks or dry hits and thats the main thing. couple of pics so you can see it on a mod.
