They are so wrong It is up to the seller, not the buyer to contact the courier as they are the ones that paid for the service. It was all in the packing Chrissie. The display is a piece of glass which looks a bit less than 2mm thick (DNA30 style). There was absolutely no protection. A wine glass would have had more chance travelling halfway round the world than that very delicate slither of glass. It should have been boxed. They know that alright, they also know that the things dont appear to work judging by the reviews that were there until they deleted the page and stopped selling them after a very short time. Of course the reviews were not there when I bought it. I wouldn`t blame any part of the supply chain, it had little or no chance of arriving in one piece. Robbie, it wasn't the packaging, They probably broke them on purpose before sending them out because they knew they were defective and rather than be a responsible vendor & return them to their supplier for credit they sold them broken to try & get partial payment from you.
I know I gave you some info. Send it as attachments to cigabuy & get them to fold while you are in dispute. If you raise the claim Paypal will require you to send it back at your expense. I literally attached an email from Cigabuy to my complaint submission showing them Cigabuy had agreed to a full refund if I dismissed my case and told Paypal I was willing to accept that refund in my complaint letter submission to PayPal and they still ruled that I had to send it back to an address that I tracked back to a CHI HOUSE in HONG KONG.
I had to threaten to send my submission to American Express and other credit card companies as well as several news agencies to report PayPal as protecting predatory sellers. PayPal refunded me directly as they couldn't get reimbursement from vendor as decision was already made.
Hope it works out. If you decide to escalate the Case be sure to Submit your evidence to complaint-response@paypal.com with your case number in the subject line right afterward. (I had Called PayPal to tell them I was submitting evidence indicating fraud & they decided case before I submitted it 2 days later despite my call)
Be sure to include: 1) original product listing, 2) PDF of product page showing bad reviews or link where page was located, 3) Link showing where product specs were altered to avoid refunding customers, 4) allegation they purposely damaged them before shipment to try & get partial payment from you 5) Copies of all communications outside Paypal, 6) Link to their shipping and returns policy highlighting full refund for return shipping for wrong item description, 7) link to reports of them supplying false return address, 8) a demand that PayPal take action against this company for their predatory business practices to protect their customers from these practices, 9) Make sure PayPal is aware of your involvement with AAEC & your intention to post you experiences with the community.

You saw those traces. No way it could be that spot on if it was developed independently. Evolv will never admit it, but they had to be responsible.

I did think I would see a greater preheat voltage in those traces I posted earlier both for the KX-40D & especially the Evolv DNA40. That was surprising!

Just to Clarify about the newest versions of the Vapor Flasks on 3FVape Models #:2806/2834
As per 3FVape: 2806/2834 share the same chip with 1660/2101 made by Kangxin, you will see different open-screen message though. To be specific, you may see "KX-40D" which is from Kangxin, "DNA40" or nothing, which are from Sunlay. They customized those in chip, which is quite easy. We tested 2806/2834 Versoin 3 for one week before we ship. Our products experts used those mods very heavily everyday. I also joined the activity to be a heavy vaper.
the center pin however is fixed, solid, doesn't move. When asked if it could be upgraded to a floating spring loaded pin, the reply was: We have talked to Kangxin and Sunlay regarding that though. Unfortunately, they don't have plans to move yet.
It is possible that 3FVape had given me some bad information with regard to the Waidea Times Vapor Flask 1:1 units having the same chip as the Kangxin. Summer from Waidea had told me they developed their own chip from scratch as the Kangxin chips were too expensive to include as Kangxin did not want to sell their market edge to Waidea. Nicole Leah is being sent a demonstration flask by Waidea to review for the community so it is recommended to wait for her review so we can get more information on this device.
Preliminary reports surfacing from some people who have received these units include 1 or 2 dying after two days (may be same person twice) and two with extreme connectivity issues in reading NI200 coils (which may be inexperience in NI200 builds) so it may be prudent to wait for more positive reviews to come in before considering a purchase.

I will I received an email from 3F, telling me they've contacted their supplier. That's probably me you've read on FT forum (another nickname); mine was shipped on 3/6. Understood Benjihunter thought the stories sounded jarringly familiar.

Hi there Received mine today from 3Fvape. The mod is gorgeous, finish is spot on, battery caps line up... But it's broken When it arrived I put my KF on it, fired, all worked nicely. I put it away, took it again two minutres later... Fired, the screen lit up, then turned off, and since then, nothing. It doesn't work anymore. I tried different batteries, and to adjust the top contact screws, even putting it on USB : nope. Really disappointed, I seem to have the only faulty one I really hope they will send me another one. Really sorry to hear of your issue. Couple others on the FT Forums had the same problem on deliveries shipped around 3/6. Seemed like a bad batch probably result of untrained labor replacing labor losses due to CNY (many don't return to work). 3F will sort it I'm sure. Let us know how it works out for you!

I'd go with 3FVape. One of the ECF members has the same early version as Robby, it had the weak battery issue/only using one battery. He emailed 3FVape with a video of the problem, they told him they'd ship him a new one at no charge once they had them back in stock first of next week. And to keep his old one. Hard to beat service like that. Just be sure and AVOID the newest one they have listed, the one that has the stainless 510 with the single air channel, and with the pics of the silver version having a brass firing button. I have a couple of these on order from Cigabuy, if they are the ones which say Smocare when you wake them up then yeah the temp control is a waste of time, i had one of the same from 3fvape and the temp control was screwed up. I don't have any plans to use these for temp control so no big deal to me but if people are buying them for temp control i would say don't bother just buy a device with a genuine evolv board. I'm not going to be using Cigabuy again though purely because of their service. I placed my order at the very beginning of February and they only just marked it as shipped a couple of days ago. I realise they were closed for the CNY holiday but i ordered well before that and the holiday ended a couple of weeks ago, it shouldn't take that long to process an order plus the shipping costs were like $17 so screw them. This displays HANA MODZ on Waking & I can tell you that 3 sec delay & 2 min sleep mode alone makes this a mod I don't want. My Kangxin Vapor Flask is like a dream compared to this POS. I though about keeping it but simple fact is that if there were enough complaints that forced refunds and reverse shipping reimbursements they might have discontinued selling them before your order was shipped and spared you the ordeal of buying units that don't work properly.
As far as 3FVape is concerned I would tell them if you are having a problem with their unit. One guy had the non USB version of the Kangxin flask and it was only drawing power from one battery and they sent him a new unit and told him to keep the old one for his inconvenience.
I heard of a few people who got the Hana from 3FVape who said theirs was working well in TC mode, I just never realized they were the Smocare versions that locked in fire mode & had all the screen scrambles. Someone on ECF said they worked out most of those issues with the Smocares, but I notice that 3FVape does not seem to be restocking them very quickly after they all sold out.
I still think we owe it to everyone who comes after us to force Cigabuy to lose money on each bad unit they sell because it is their business model to charge each person $10 extra for a box that says dna40 but does not work counting on our complacency to accept the loss because it will cost us more to mail it back than it is worth & at least if we keep it we have a kanthal working unit we only overpaid for by $10.
I do not feel we are doing the community any favors by doing exactly what they are counting on us to do.
