umm Only going on what i've read in numerous posts A lot of people rave about the SD and it's poke for such a small thing compared to the early ciggie lookalikes. I've only played around with mine a bit but it's still going well I even bought a second one to leave in my desk at work as a backup in case all other options had a mis-function one day to stop me from thinking about the nasties. I think the other half would definitely get an average night out on one as long as it was fully charged before going out. I'm so happy with the vaping thing i think i'd quite happily go out with the Riva now and be proud of it. Off to report oversize signatures to the mods now   |

Alvoram I'd persevere with the SD You can hide it in your hand almost although your other half may have smaller hands than me (god i hope so ) And as long as you remember to use SR cartos you can top up with the juice of choice... Just realised your sig has got bigger at either end with the addition of some badges I may have to complain to the mods |

Are they the same resistance Whufc, as that can make a difference to the amount of juice that you're using.  Yeh both LR I don't think i'm vaping anymore than i was  |

Thanks Mark Anyone ever noticed a difference in the amount of juice vaped using different cartos I seem to be using a lot more with the Boges and it drys up quicker than when i was using the Kangers  Ah Jason you're about What make is the dual coil one you sent me yesterday? And what are the benefits of dual coil (suppose i should have found out before i ordered it ) does it just produce more vapour? |

All morning at work been smelling burnt plastic just went to have a lunch time vape and my Cartomizer, drip tip and cone were welded together (will post a pic tonight), battery seems to be fine and still working my guess is the button on the battery was under something and been continually heated causing the Cartomizer to become over heated and burning , is this even possible? I do have other theory's but this seems most likely . Thoughts please? Hi Kirsty i had a similar experience yesterday. Finished vaping and put the Riva down on the settee and went to use the pc looked round after five minutes and there was a mass of vape coming from the settee. The Riva had fallen between the cushion and arm and was switched on Not sure how long for but the thing was bloody hot i ended binning the carto just to be on the safe side. Previous to this though the battery had been playing up when ireleased the button the blue light was staying on well past 5/10 seconds and would not turn off unless i started unscrewing the carto from the battery and then i would get the flashing blue light. Something was definitely up with it yesterday not sure what I guessed it may have needed a charge so i put it on charge and it appears to be ok now ??? |

I agree, it has served a purpose which is great. However, I still think riva type batts & atties are a better starter than any other piece of equipment. You learn to recognize when you have let the attie go dry & why it has happened. Also, as you rightly say, they are great for trying new flavours as well. I found that I also know how many drips an attie can take before it floods. Which put me in good stead for trying cartos. There's loads of positive reasons for starting out with the basic kit. However, I guess it's all up to the individual. I just tend to find that people new to vaping can get abit out of their depth if they plunge to deep into vaping. I agree, it has served a purpose which is great. However, I still think riva type batts & atties are a better starter than any other piece of equipment. Yes i agree totally If i can manage to use it and start experimenting so soon in. It must be a good starter |

Hissie The direct dripping thing for me served a purpose in not wasting cartos on flavours i was unsure of but it's time consuming and it leaks every now and again. Now i have a mix of flavours i like i'm back to the cartos for an all day vape. God seven hours ago vaping was not the way forward luckily the vaping gods have stepped in and saved me  Who knows what tomorrow brings though Still i'm not smoking the nasties so can't be bad |

Another thing that direct dripping has taught me That horrible taste at the end of each flavour i tried was not the juices but the fact that the juice has run out and the thing is burning dry Each day i shall learn more and more |

I found it a bit too much on its own Made me feel tired May be a late night vape before bed Although as mentioned on another thread i have found a mix which Cocomel added to the taste. But on its own a bit sickly for me Why doesn't anybody do sausage roll or Kebab flavour for us people who don't have sweet tooths |

Well three days in and not a nastie in sight. Today was a difficult day Didn't want a ciggie but was really struggling with the vaping. Everything tasted so sweet and i seriously considered that vaping wasn't the way to go but that meant going cold turkey as i'm determined not to smoke again. Anyway i ordered up an atomiser yesterday which arrived today (thanks Jason) and decided to do some direct dripping and have a marathon tasting session. After about three hours i appear to have found a mix i like Griz's Walnut Pipe with a little Cocomel of all things  (may also add a little menthol at a later date). So i mixed up a small amount in an empty bottle and am vaping that at the moment and enjoying it. Strange combo but it appears to work for me and the world of vaping appears great again. |
