Well the day has finally come!!

Hopefully i smoked my last nasty just after midnight last night.

Today has been my first analogue free day.

Took the Riva and the SD Keyring to work today and the day passed rather uneventful.

Didn't really miss the nasties, only really thought about them twice at points during the day when i would normally have gone outside for a smoke but instead just went to one of the reference rooms and had a quick vape.

Struggling a little with finding a juice which sits well.

So placed three orders for more juices (about £40 )

Have also ordered an atomiser to direct drip the new juices rather than waste a cartomiser on each one. I take it that's the sensible thing to do.

Once i find a couple of juices i can get on with i think i'll be ok.

So far everything tastes so sweet

But so far not missing the nasties one bit

If you slip and have a smoke dont worry about it just think of it as I havent given up smoking just started vaping
they do smell crap now though imo

Well done the 'ammers!!! I stopped midnight May 31st.
ONE of the best things I have ever done in my life!
For what it's worth, around the 3rd day I felt a little strange, jittery so I vaped my head off, continual...
Just that one day......I don't know if it's because I had just arrived for a week in Venice, so was real excited about that, or it was withdrawal, I actually found myself smiling as I got through the day in haze of atomized glycerine because I looked at it like this........ I wasn't craving nicotene, I was getting more than enough of that, what I was craving was all the poisons I had been ingesting for years courtesy of cynical big tobacco who wanted all my money...I was beating the barstewards and it was easy peasy...worked for me anyway...keep it up..best of luck...Scoots...

well done on your first day!

As a newbie I'm still trying to find my 'all day vape that replaces my rollies'!

I have a couple of favourites already but if I feel myself thinking about the nasties i just try another flavour that works for me!

When I first did a whole day without a rollie without climbing the wall it was a bit of a revelation! I can do this! Just don't beat yourself up if you have a couple of nasties, count the ones you don't smoke from now on, good luck

One of the hardest things i found hard to adjust to is the routine as smokers we get into.
all my life as a somker i never smoked indoors,so for me it was a fag at the back door everytime i fancied one,so up at 6am,kettle on fag at back door,drink tea fag at back door,shower fag at back door etc,now with vaping i vape in the house so kettle on 6am i can now vape anywhere,drink tea,habit is to go to backdoor,and so on,Give it time and you will be fine

The motto on this forum is count the ones you don't smoke.

Even after vaping nearly 2 years, I still find it hard to discover juices that I can enjoy. In fact, I mainly only vape James' Cigar now. Although I do buy the odd fruity flavour.

Atomisers are ideal for trying new flavours. In fact, I've dug some out of my kit & am using one as I type. Totally forgot how good they actually are. In fact, even considering, once I've gone through all my cartos actually just going back to using atties.

I have no nasties left and i threw the ashtray away last night

Like i said earlier eveyone i try just leaves a sweet sickly taste in my mouth.

Having said that i just filled a carto with Strawberry Daquiri (of all things) and it's quite nice. Only problem is it was a freebie and only low strength nicotine but not bad.

@ 'ammers...I wouldn't fixate on nicotine strengths, I know it's important to many, but in my first month of experimenting I had it down as low as 7-8Mg, no prob', just vaped more which I enjoyed.
Recently, due to laziness and just to expirement, I was up at 36Mg for a day, not good for me, felt like my eyes were bulging and ears were all blocked and warm. My body lets me know when it's happy.
It's a great journey and full of heaps of things to try finances allowing, until you finally find "what does it for you"
@ River....I used to spend hours out on the balcony, in all weather, used to leave my better 3/4's sitting like a numpty after dinner in places, when, on the way to the loo, I would craftily join the other smokers outside the resturaunt for a quicky.
Hotel rooms had to have a balcony, wouldn't even look at the menu in places when on holiday if there was no seating outside, panic attacks in airports when flights were delayed (that actually stopped my wife 12 years ago in Houston), when the phone rang I reached for my fags before I picked it up, fidgeting waiting for the kettle to boil in the morning as I had to have a coffee in my hand with the first one...so many things being a slave to them..............Life is simpler now...... First off you have to buy your own fridge to keep all your juice in..then......

Taste is subjective but my favs so far are Griz Vanilla tobac, liquorice Tobac and at the very top Black Cat! none of the ordinary tobac-a-likes have done anything for me, they're rank lol! i like a slightly higher strenght during the day when I can't chain vape but in the evening it's working better with lower strength! Tis an interesting journey

Well done on your first day Whufc!

It is about breaking old habits as River says, certainly I found that and having collected the tobacco smoking ones over 36 years . . . they weren't broken overnight for me.

It's only just last week, I felt 'secure' enough with vaping to give the pack of emergency ciggies I'd squirreled away for almost 2 years, to the lad who came to sort my heating out.

I'm now working on bagging a shelf in my vaping friend's freezer for back up eliquid supplies.
