looking on ebay it seems a hole punch and a pack of pipe screens is about the same price as the drip tip so ordered one of each as well, i'll try out both methods and see if either option is better than the other

studies like this just prove how pointless excessive taxation and bans are when something is already on the market.
most ilicit drugs were commonplace items 100 years ago traded openly in apothecaries' when they got banned the black market continued to supply them exactly the same as it had legally done so for hundreds of years before hand only now they hide the money and killed competitors, nicotine will become the next big black market item if the bans get enacted and people will start to purchase much higher strength lower grade products, the food flavourings will continue to be produce (for the baking industry) and continue to be bought by vapers everywhere, diy mixer will continue as if little had changed regardless of the bans and lots of people will end up very rich supplying those without the contacts their illicit high grade gear, gear that will be greatly degraded as the years grow and the product lines get more contaminated by unscrupulous gits chasing quick profits, in anything prohibition should of taught the world that is what happens to the population, new gangs form and control murderously their product and corruption becomes rife within official channels (ok more openly rife than currently)
lets hope more proper studies are undertaken and nobody is foolish enough to explain how they intend to subvert any proposed bans, just so those loopholes don't get closed

@yinyang your other option is to get an angled one and bore it out, although you would need a pillar drill and a reamer set to achieve a smooth finish, let me know if those anti spit back units are any good since I can't be bothered to buy a new reamer set just to bore out an angled one and see if its what I need I won't be going for that particular one nanotm as it is too short for my tastes but if I can find one at about 20mm long, I will get it and report back. Thanks for your input. ok well on seeing your reply I decided to give this a try www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rainbow-Stainless-Steel-POM-Drip-Tip-for-510-Atomisers-/281879234105?hash=item41a14fc639:g:SrgAAOSwNphWZu2Dits double the height of the other one so maybe worth a punt, I noticed that the liquids I use tend to produce a lot of blobs and I hate them in my gob so I have been struggling with a narrow bore angled unit for the last few weeks (well when trying to sub ohm at least, they work perfectly for the mini nauti tanks)

I use the mod's readout for the ohm meter ........ if am reckless enough to build below 0.09 it wont register or fire on my current collection of mods but at least I can tc on the ni200 (7 wraps is normally around the 0.09ohm mark, conversely kanthal A1 at 6>7 wraps gives a nice even 0.9>1.2 ohm readout depending on which deck it put it on .....
I tried using an actual ohmmeter in the past but it failed to register the coil resistance (because its a chepo and I cant be bothered to spend more than a fiver on a device I use maybe twice a year)

well mine are still on the way apparently, for the first time it seems my GB order is actually slower than FT....then again I don't think they dispatched the 25r's for about 2 weeks after I placed the order either ....

reading the news it seems like china is preparing to outlaw vaping due to the impact on cig sales and the losses of state taxation (non nonsense about health protection) apparently the state tobacco corporation is loosing to much ground and its the grease that keeps wheels turning .....
I don't envy you if that situation comes to fruition in the coming months, chances are they will go with the hard-line head off penalties for vapers to discourage non compliance with the state goal of self funding through fags .....

you stupid thing I did, much worse than a dodgy wick, I put the 70/30 mix and the 30/70 mix vg/pg in the wrong tanks, now I have to decide to either dump the lot down the sink or somwhow get through at least one tank that burns my throat.....I think on reflection I might dump the high vg stuff down the drain and tip the high pg stuff into the correct tank but typical I got the sub ohm tank working perfectly aside from ripping my throat out

ceedeeyou know the big tobacco /pharma companies could if they wanted to produce the same stuff we like (drippers/subtanks/protanks etc) with self builds and e-juices that have zero harm potential when used as recommended (10>15 puffs a few times an hour) they could even regulate the stuff to have zero harmful contents when used anywhere between 5 and 500 watts but they wont do any of that because it would leave the TCI no room to manoeuvre, the entourage requires there be an element of harm in the process in order to justify its continued existence, yet dropping the harm side of things to non existence would allow them to finally stop growing tobacco stop selling cancer sticks and advocate that everyone from 1yr olds to 130yr olds vaped for health, logically the sweet flavours that are being so vilified right now could become safe and used to prevent obesity or tooth decay (in zero nic obviously), everyone and their dog could vape and be 100 times healthier than they are today, it could be marketed as a health supplement and priced nice and low and the volume of sales would see profits hit high points nobody could ever imagine, but now they have realised this option to late and they already bribed all the right people to try and get rid of this profit stealing monster instead of embracing it from the start there stuck unable to go down either road and effectively frozen out of the consumer market, its clear there is harm potential in standard vape gear, from the various TC wires to the construction of the kit to the juice contents to the mods everything is potentially lethal (and in some hands very much so) minor regulation and formula testing would have fixed the problems along with standard labelling and a spot of research, but far from doing the right thing they just went into panic mode and tried ot trample on everything first then realised the error and now cant backpaddle against the current they created in the first place. what we need is level headed thinking, right now smokers generate about 250mil a week for the treasury whereas vape juice sales are less than 260k a week, so unless they plug that tax gap by whacking £10/ml tax on e-juice there not going to be promoting vaping, total vape sales per year are worth less than 200mill to the tax man and whilst it would be a complete outrage and drive far more people to self mix and buy bulk concentrates from the likes of poundland, your going ot see premium e-juice jump from up to £10 a bottle to at least double that (since were limited to 10ml bottles) and even the likes of one pound liquids will cost £11 a pop with zero bulk goods .... what we consider overpriced crap from the NHS might just be the cheapest option for everyone who wants to vape .....

nottmlad yeah I know what you mean the first few days it was just nasty, my throat felt like it was on fire and the fags were sooo much better, then someone told me to watch a tutorial on how to vape and to get my juice form somewhere else, I ended up with 12 bottles of premium juice that whilst it tasted nice is still sat in a box in the back of the cupboard because it was the wrong stuff to use at the start..... I ordered probably 20 bottles of tobacco juice (once I found one I liked the taste of) and ended up giving them away because there just nasty now ..... anyhow I started off trying to use 100% vg and it just made me gag, some words of advice and I moved to onepoundliquid standard juices, since I didn't know what would taste nice or not originally I ordered 1 of everything.... so I instantly gave away 10 bottles after finding our they tasted horrible, I moved on to chugging lower strength about a week after I stopped smoking alongside the vaping, I would say the biggest problem for me was the original kit I had came with those poxy ego bats and they were just trash, as soon as I got an istick (I went with the 30w version) my vape experience improved, then I moved on from the starter kit tanks to a pack of ce5's (I dint like them much) and then onto the mini nauti, don't get me wrong the experience has been good and I have found a lot of help more from reading around than necessarily asking questions directly but it all helps, now I know if I want to use the high vg juices then really I need a different sort of tank or a preheat function, I just started to play with temp control and am eagerly awaiting some new gear that I ordered over the xmass sale period (mods and tanks) I am still thinking of moving into mixing for myself but the OH isn't keen on that atm (that may change) but honestly if it wasn't for liquid (£1liquids) I probably wouldn't have stuck with vaping, so unless your allergic to PG then i'd get the standard mixes off them, I never thought I would but apparently I like sweets custards and menthol flavours far more than fruit or tobacco so be prepared to get lead by your taste buds. as you say your still smoking I have to ask what your smoking, I was on amberleaf and chugging away though 6+ 50g pouches a month before I started and it tailed off quite fast once I started, but I made a major mistake by not going high enough on the nic strength to start with, i figured that a rolly was half the strength of a tailor made so used the calculator that way, i was wrong i should of added them together at the same rate and chosen the strength accordingly (that would of worked out around the 24mg point and once i got that right the rest was gravey stick with it things will fall into place especially once you find a kit you like, for me the mini nautilus tank was a revelation, the subtank not so much although i like its larger juice capacity i find i'm not building sub ohm coils and i hate the way it spits
