umm, today's vapes are.. Custard dregs again, I'm liking it and there is another 250ml in the bottle.
Manabush Mojave Dessert with 10% #3/7, the raspberry and amaretto have almost disappeared unless the temperature has been turned right up and then its just a faint twist. The older it gets the more like Chiracuahahaha sun it becomes..700ml in the steeping drawer.
247vape cuban cigar with additions, robust cigar combined with sweet, nutty, vanilla. will take the step from squonker to tank soon,

JayJ you will need to go for a stainless Clapton wire for Tc and it would be doubtful if you would get dual coils anywhere near that 0.4 ohm sweet spot you like. decoy you don't have to use 317 for the wrap if you're struggling to get wires under 0.2mm.

seeing as I make my own clapton wires and have carpal tunnel (which doesn't help with some of the fiddly stuff) I'd go for 26/32 nichrome if you would like a faster ramp up and an easy to use wire. Should give you 0.32-0.33 ohm with 3mm x5 wraps. Kanthal would be 0.4?? a pair for the same. Either are going to be easy enough to get hold of too.

hi, apparently it's a fairly common problem. Have you tried cleaning the 510 threads, both mod and tank? Use a cotton bud dipped in rubbing alcohol to make sure that there is no accumulated pocket grime or old juice.

I have mixed together 3 of my tobacco mixes and like the result. What can I add to this mix to give it a sweeter flavour, similar to Manabush ? I made some 247 vape cuban cigar in January and I added M&P Go Nutz at 3% which mellowed it down to a nutty manabush style and losing the ashy RY exhale? And after a bit more steeping and tasting there was an n-butyric/cheezy twang in the background which I assume is because the 247 flavours are Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl free. So I added 10% of ready mixed Grants clone ( the ' generally accepted recipe' 15% VC V1-2% DDL-1% EM). Still not as smooth as manabush, still cigar but sweet. Time will tell. BTW its not too bad at 60vg, I've been squonking it through my Hadaly/Inbox with a 0.3 ohm alien at 35w, not something I'd try with Manabush

with a burnt taste at 8w I'd say that the coil needs more priming time, could just be the factory cotton taking a long time to absorb the juice fully. What ratio juice were you using on the first coil?

strange, battery life tends to increase with TC use as the board throttles back when the coil reaches the required temperature. Perhaps you're just taking longer puffs, I know I take longer draws and only really notice when I change from TC back to wattage. at least its sorted itself out now

Most of that is Japanese to me folks. It's an Eleaf Aster 100 watt, so no idea of the board. Peculiar, as I've been using it all day at 450f, 25 watts, and it seems to be lasting longer. My first stab at temp control, as I wantrd SS in case it went pear shaped. Then at least I could use it in wattage mode also. sorry buggritt , a lack of information let our imagination run wild. What atomizer are you using? Does it have a factory coil or are you coiling it yourself? to be honest, I think that a 1 ohm coil is too high a resistance, is it actually a TC coil or a 'stainless coil'. 0.2-0.5ohms is fairly typical of a coil meant for TC. Anyway temperature control can be a swine, stainless steel doesn't help as it has very little resistance change for the board to monitor. Main issues that can affect TC are poor connection due to dirty or loose contacts, clean the 510 pin and mod with isopropal alcohol or similar. And setting/locking the base (cold) resistance with the coil or tank already warmed up or hot. It just gives a false reading that can mean its 40-50 degrees out for a 0.1ohm difference. Obviously using more power overfiring and getting tad warm ......or not.

edited the previous post whilst you were posting.......... no voltage boost in TC mode because 99% of the time its stepping down?
1 ohm @4.2v is 17w

It would be a tricky one to wick thats for sure. Exactly how it works out, No voltage boost in TC direct battery voltage @ 4.2v max. I dunno but I assume that the extended power profile applies to all TC materials? VapingBad ?? I stick to a resistance range of 0.15-0.5 with stainless, for me that covers most dual parallels and single coils with most of the power available. No isssues with DNA200s but so far my DNA75 seems to go directly to sag city when asked to TC above 35w.

um ok perhaps I'm wrong, but the evolve graph for nickle power output shows about 17w @ 1ohm? but 36w in kanthal/power mode.

DNA200/75? wattage.. preheat? Just taking extended puffs?
Dna75 max output is 16-17w @ 1ohm, don't know if vaping at max voltage would accelerate voltage drop in the same way that lower ohms/high amp would?
