I bought one, really quite liked it and ordered a couple more. By the time they had turned up I'd found the limitations of my preferences and what the Merlin would give. They are not altogether bad, but they don't perform as well as the specs promise. IMO the chamber is too big for decent flavour and the posts too narrow for large single coils. And the poxy juice control still doesn't work well even with the (slightly) larger wells.
All in all.... either over aired or under juiced.

I picked up three botles in one of their sales...probably last year all considered, new style labelling.. Gutless at 20%, almost no fruit and kind of a sad menthol.

Does it have to be a squonker?
Aeronaut...FT clone or original. V2 comes with a squonk pin, apparently has better wicking. Not entirely unreasonable at £40-50, mine have been my go-to for 12 months, I spent double that on dual coil clones trying to find a compromise.

I have the same problem with Vape247 flavours, all diacetyl/AC free. Crazy Custard smells lovely in the bottle...vapes like puke with coconut (but the bounty could just be me) Devons Custard.... sour cheesecake Even the Cuban Cigar had a cheesy twang but the M+P Nutz I mixed in has made it extremely palatable...after 4 months steep.

Not one penny did I spend in the TPD sales, haven't made a vaping purchase since March...a few packs of insulators and grub screws.

never liked Parma Violets, a few years back when I used to make my own carp fishing bait I was making all manner of carp 'sweets'. I picked up on a flavour that seemed to tempt the odd big one and made some, Parma Violet...it was on my hands for a good week. Horrid, 'grandma's handbag'

I have an Inoy clone that is very long - even longer after I stuffed a Stingray drip tip into the chuff cap. Hmmm, thats a possible, at least it would mean that the mod isn't in my face

If you Google vertical coil velocity and look at the images it'll show you what I mean cheers, I know what you means , I find that the top of the wick gets a touch dry. Also had a few goes at dual vertical in my aramamiser.....same problem, too hot at the top.

If you can get a 3mm pin in it you could get away with putting a saw cut down it. Done a few others like that and it works well. I say if you can cos Im sure the aeronaut has a blind bush in the 510 and screws together from inside the well?. I'm thinking of tapping the positive, but if I could get along enough pin and a 3mm nut and a I suppose drilling it out and top fixing could be an option as the standard pin is threaded and is fixed by a hex head screw from the top.

beedee I have tried longer DTs with a few different bore sizes but I didn't stick long with the ultra short atomisers I tried before. And dual coilers in single coil use just don't do it for me. to be honest Get Off My Cloud I don't really want a V2 Aeronaut even though it looks like the only option.

.. taller single coil B/F rda?
I'm used to my Aeronauts and although the Hadaly is a great little atomizer I'd like a bit more distance from beefier coils.
If there isn't I am considering converting an Aeronaut to B/F, should be able to get a 3mm thread in the base of the positive post providing a good stainless pin is available.

A rough guess would be a short 510 causing the problems. I had the same with KFv5 clones, could only get 1 of 4 to work on my P3, two on an evic yet they would all work on an istick40.

Annnnd take a deep breath I didn't notice any bad smell when I decanted mine, they were purchased in September/October/November 2016 , buuuut I've only just finished the first amber bottle of nicotine I bought in the AAEC group buy...December 2015! Last years Darkstar purchases are at the back of the freezer. Wasn't exactly planning on opening them anytime soon. EDIT; absolutely no idea what the batch number was.......but it was VG
