Ebay have made such a mess of the new community platform, all the groups are dying.

I gather that eBay "bought in" a ready-made system, it's not the American one which has been tried and tested >

I wonder if in-house IT peeps are working on it, or if James (poor dear) has to pass glitch info up the eBay chain and then it goes out to a contractor ???

If so, there's not much hope for quick fixes There may not be anyway

Taking into account the fact I don't like change period, there's still precious little I like about any of the new board/group changes.

The only thing I've found to be an improvement/ more user friendly is creating a photo album in a group, that's it.

I dread to think how some of the huge ' Collecters ' type groups have gone about transferring all their photographs & data.

Pig and ear spring to mind.

Totally agree Perps. So many steps required now to achieve very little. People are getting very frustrated - myself included. To think of the money that has been spent on this, and they choose a model that is very outdated and overly complicated with it.

I've just made my tenth purchase. Phew! Am waiting for 3 feedbacks, one from Hillingdon Cat Protection, which they will no doubt do once they've got over the shock of someone saying "please don't send me the item" The first one I did that to thought I was a scammer, so this time I've told them I'm Chrissie's friend cos I found them in Chrissie's Cat Pix thread in FHG.

Sorry Chrissie for taking your name in vain, but I knew you wouldn't mind and didn't want to put you to the trouble of having to read yet another PM and respond.

Where was I? Oh yes, and 2 normal items haven't arrived yet so I can't do their feedback. I should be fully qualified this week

I ended up buying more than I needed to get to 11 cos peeps didn't leave fb and then they did!

A couple I also said don't bother sending me anything, one seller I support on another id mailed me to ask if I was alright.

I didn't have the nerve to go begging for my fb.

Hanow & Perpy, the new format is a complete & utter b**ls up I was more than happy when I initially heard about the change. but instead of going forward ebay have gone backward IMHO. And that's not just due to the glitches but more to do with the fact the platform is so user unfriendly

Scylla - do you now have enough - or will you. I gather that the magic number is actually 11 - but someone else may correct that - i.e. more than 10.

I can always list another small BIN, and I gather that the FB week with one seller goes from Monday to Sunday. I listed some bits today, but that are for MDCC and are auctions. It took me three hours to list 4 items! Templates kept disappearing, changing, and reappearing with information all mixed up! Wasn't happy!

It's the most user unfriendly forum system I think I've ever encountered Chris, for starters, why the hell they decided to have a Buyer & Seller Central I'll never know.

Perpy, they have made an even bigger mess of the groups. In many of them the attachment facility doesn't work so you can't post any pics- bad enough for most groups but imagine how bad that must be for a group dedicated to photography? Especially as they have got rid of being HTML friendly & you can't use photobucket without a workaround! In fact in the groups that attachments aren't working, you can't use the PB workaround either

I don't think anything will be done very soon unless there's a quick fix for it; they might give priority to the awful probs in Groups, it sounds as though they darn well should >
