T It's been said that LR atties don't last as long but the one I've got on my occasional-use Screwdriver has been going for weeks. scylla Atomizers are the most infuriating inventions known to man! I had two silver LRs from Lisa that lasted a couple of weeks each and two from Liberty Flights that lasted less long. At present I'm using a standard Liberty Flights DSE901 atty in my SDII that I've had almost from the start and it just won't die. Obviously I don't use it 24/7 but it's in use a good deal and produces great vapour too. Daft!! Fox

ROFL Scylla It is weird isn't it Foxy. In fact one of the longest lasting atties I've had recently is an LR901 from Liberty flights. Yet your LR's from them didn't do to well at all.

And I still haven't tried the LF LR atty you kindly sent me, Chrissie, because the Eastmall cheapo, supposedly short-living, one simply won't die ??? scylla

Lol Scylla, I've had a couple of the cheapo Eastmall ones die after only a few days. Shows just how inconsistent they all are

I have been circulating on 8 atties. I keep thinking they have died - but they keep recovering! So suggest before throwing any away, clean them out, put them away for a few days, then try again - sometimes needed ti suck quite a few times before they kickstart again.

Hanow, another tip with atties that seem to have died is to gently ease up the raised ring you can see on the end you screw into your battery. Often due to overtightening, the thingemyjig (see even i can't remember all the technical terms ) gets too compressed & the attie stops working. However, if your attie is working OK, it's best not to touch this becuase it's too easy to break it off.

So far I've had one dead one & another one which is on it's last legs.
Been lucky I think, especially with all the teething problems.

Just had a cartomiser die after no time at all ??? Chrissie, do you think I could use an LR atty with my Garry Dibley if it's plugged into a netbook USB socket instead of our 5v hub? Don't worry, I won't try it until I've got your verdict scylla

TBH Scylla I'd say a big NO. LR atties draw more power from whatever they are attached to. So in this instance that could result in one of 2 things - your LR attie blowing or even worse, damage to your netbook.
