Hello - and help please!

Firstly, thanks for this brilliant resource. I know there are other forums out there but this one seems so friendly and relaxed with heaps of information - and the only one I feel brave enough to post on!

I have spent the last 24 hours researching and now feel ready to take the plunge - as Scylla says "JUST GET STARTED"

So, in my OKsmokey basket I have:

A titanium starter kit Extra (so 2 batteries and 2 atties)
A 25 pack of pre filled cartridges (tobacco high 18mg) - I work 'on the road' a lot and don't want to be worrying about re-filling until I have the knack.
A mixed box of 5 x 10ml samples Coffee High 18mg, Liquorice High 18mg, Mint High 18mg, Vanilla High 18mg, Coffee Extra 30mg

I usually smoke a pack of Marlboro lights a day, and have done for years and have never attempted to give up before. I'm going to buy some glycerine (?) at the chemist today, in case these are too strong - especially the 30mg!

Does this order look OK to get me going? I am concerned that if I get it wrong to start I will be less inclined to persevere.

Your advice and opinions would be most welcome before I click the 'pay' button

Just to give u a quick response, it looks fine to me, altho if you're on the road a lot, a car charger might be a useful addition to your kit?

oh...i see you've got 2 coffee flavours in your selection Jaki, only thing is, if you don't like it, you've 2 lots to plow through, maybe a different flavour?

I don't think you'll object to the coffee, and if you don't like it I will buy it off you I'm sure someone will buy whatever you hate

I see that Lilac has put a spanner in the works - never mind, just do eeny-meeny-miney-mo and go for it

The only thing I'd add is an extra charger, but maybe wait and see how you get on.

If it was up to me, everyone would buy 10 batteries and 10 atties and 3 chargers... a bit much to ask!

I can't believe I just ignored the fact all coffee and liquorice is out of stock! What an eejit!

I am a coffee addict - I drink gallons of it, black, no sugar, 4 teaspoons of strong instant, so I'm hoping the familiarity of the taste will help me adapt to vaping with ease. However, the lack of stock is going to scupper this particular cunning plan!

I'm off to have a look around for some other suppliers/flavours - I don't see the harm in ordering my juice (trying to pick up the lingo!) elsewhere?

In the meantime, I have been looking at the Janty Stick V3 www.ivapour.co.uk/janty-stick-1/janty-stick-set/janty-stick-v3.html due to the fab battery life - any views or thoughts on this one?

I've not really anything to add to Lilac & Scylla's advice & unfortunately I can't help you with the Janty stick as I've never had one.

Jaki If you can hold fire, I'll look into it. I had v1, which was a bit of a prototype and had "issues". This being the third version I would hope they are completely ironed out, but I'll check. One very good point is that the atomiser now extends further out of the "body" - it used to be a dreadful pain to screw in/out.

I'm going to check the rest of the posts here and then check the Stick.

Our dear "colleague" Marian got on well with her Stick, she swapped her V1 in for V2, I think.

the coffee high (18mg) and coffee extra (30mg) seem to be in stock - its the coffee ultra (38mg) thats out of stock..

all varieties of the licorice are out of stock too

On the ECF forum (you'll see what that is when you venture there, if you don't know alread) the lovely lady Cat has done a video review, and in that thread you can post questions to her (you can't PM her until you've a certain number of posts on that forum) and she's lovely and will respond helpfully.

There's very little feedback from actual users, but what I see looks good.

I bet it was all the 50 lurkers (guests) we had in here yesterday that bought it up after reading the recommendations

You just answered a question I was thinking about asking, driving and passthroughs!
Seems to me that all we need now is some kind of drip feed for the juice and there is no stopping us.
Well, except for legislation...
Do you reckon we might get a police caution for 'being in possession'?
How much will be considered 'for personal use'?
What classification will our illegal drugs have? A, B or C..
Will government send me to prison if I am found to be a recidivist?? (that would save me worrying about my lack of pension fund!)

Lol @ lynwit! I got some very odd looks t'other day when I was sitting inside my car in the street outside my house, puffing away on my passthrough. My car's just had his MoT and they fixed my cigar lighter so I thought I'd try out the car adaptor that came with one of my TW kits! I reckon if that chap who dared to blow his nose while sitting in a traffic jam got a ticket for driving without due care and attention, I'd likely get life for insanity if caught vaping a passthrough!!
