Hi! Great forum - only wish I'd discovered it earlier. I bought a NUCIG Pro 4 kit- overpriced, and their batteries failed almost immediately, but at least they got me started. I got a 510 kit from OK Smokey with Old Holborn juice - marvellous. Only thing was that sometimes I need something that looks less like a cigarette, so I got 5 black atomisers and 3 black batteries with blue LED from another supplier. One of the black batteries wouldn't hold a charge, and 2 of the atomisers didn't seem to work well. So I am wondering, am I doing something stupid? Should I expect the other suppliers' batteries to work with OK Smokey's atomisers just because they fit? Or is it that quality control in this industry is just not that good? I believe OK Smokey's batteries are 190mAh, and the others 180mAh. I am also wondering if I can use my old NUCIG carts with the 510 batteries from OK Smokey? I haven't used the NUCIG PCC with them, cos I suspect it is a piece of cr@p which probably caused my problems with NUCIG in the first place - am I being paranoid? Thanks for reading & happy vaping!

190 mah isnt very much tbh, do you know what resistance your atomisers are, anything less than 650 mah wont last long and generally ruin the battery`s with low resistance. Have you had a look at ego battery`s? If the nucig carts have a 510 connection they will work fine on any other 510 compatible battery. Hope this helps mate and welcome

Hello & welcome Giles If the black e-cigs you bought are 510's then yes they should work with the 510 you got from OKsmokey. From memory, I think Nucigs are an M401 fitting, but I could be wrong.

Just had a look at the NUCIG & though it does look like it has a 510 fitting, I googled for info on them & someone says that the polarity of the connections on the NUCIG is reversed so don't try to charge your other batteries in the NUCIG PCC.

Hi Giles and welcome along,I echo Karmas words and say it would be better to get some type of ego battery 650mah upward,as TBH its were you will end up,unless you go straight for a Provari of course

Thanks for all the swift replies folks. I see what you mean about getting better batteries. I think I'll stick with the cig-a-likes for the moment, even if it means carrying spares. I'm not too bothered about the cost as I'm still well ahead compared to smoking. I'll pick a new technology when I get a bit wiser about it all. Thanks for the suggestions.

Lots of cats on this forum! Hello to you all The black atomisers came from OK Smokey, who were very good about sending replacements, even though I told them I didn't know if I was doing something wrong. The batteries came from Zigs (OK Smokey didn't have any like that). I don't yet know if they will send a replacement without hassle.

A belated welcome from me Giles. There's been a UK Vapefest this weekend in Tamworth, where a number of us from the forum have been having a jolly good time, discussing all manner of vaping loveliness.
