Keef posted a chart in the other group - I don't know if it has been transferred over? Remember tar is nothing to do with nicotine strength - they are different things. You shouldn't get any tar from the e-cig. Oh - an experiment a bit with flavours - your taste buds will adjust - but they are all much "sweeter" tasting than cigs. One with quite a pleasant and much nuttier taste is State Express from Totally Wicked - you could try that.

Ah, I completely forgot to look for the the chart that keef posted in our eBay group. Just found it, so here it is :-)
E-juice conversion Table.
1ml 11 mg Liquid Juice = 11mg Nicotine 1ml 14 mg Juice = 14mg Nicotine 1ml 18 mg Juice = 18 mg Nicotine 1ml 24 mg Juice = 24 mg Nicotine 1ml 36 mg Juice = 36 mg Nicotine
Cigarettes you smoke and Juice strenght to order.
20 Cigarettes 0.09mg nic = 18 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 18 mg Juice or 2 ml of 9 mg juice
20 Cigarettes 0.08mg nic = 16 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 16 mg Juice or 2 ml of 8 mg juice
20 Cigarettes 0.07mg nic = 14 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 14 mg Juice or 2 ml of 7 mg juice
20 Cigarettes 0.06mg nic = 12 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 12 mg Juice or 2 ml of 6 mg juice
20 Cigarettes 0.05mg nic = 10 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 10 mg Juice or 2 ml of 5 mg juice
30 Cigarettes 0.09 mg nic = 27 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 27 mg Juice or 2 ml of 13.5 mg juice
30 Cigarettes 0.08 mg nic = 24 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 24 mg Juice or 2 ml of 12 mg juice
30 Cigarettes 0.07 mg nic = 21 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 21 mg Juice or 2 ml of 10.5 mg juice
30 Cigarettes 0.06 mg nic = 18 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 18 mg Juice or 2 ml of 9 mg juice
30 Cigarettes 0.05mg nic = 15 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 15 mg Juice or 2 ml of 7.5 mg juice
40 Cigarettes 0.09mg nic = 36 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 36 mg Juice or 2 ml of 18 mg juice
40 Cigarettes 0.08mg nic = 32 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 32 mg Juice or 2 ml of 16 mg juice
40 Cigarettes 0.07mg nic = 28 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 28 mg Juice or 2 ml of 14 mg juice
40 Cigarettes 0.06 mg nic = 24 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 24 mg Juice or 2 ml of 12 mg juice
40 Cigarettes 0.05mg nic = 21 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 21 mg Juice or 2 ml of 10.5 mg juice
Most people end up vaping 2ml juice per day so you are better aiming low than high.

I'll 'fess up to slightly mixed feelings about the chart, although I have no wish to denigrate Keef's efforts in producing it. The jury still seems to be out elsewhere regarding just how much nicotine we do actually absorb from e-cigs.
I did in fact carry out exactly the same calculation myself within a couple of weeks of first starting and concluded that as I seemed to use about 1.5ml a day and should have been getting 24mg nic a day from my former 30 cigs/day, the 18mg strength would be fine.
However, further experience after the novelty had worn off a bit did lead to my discovering that I found the higher strengths much more satisfying and using 18mg exclusively led to attempts to vape myself silly to get my 'hit', constantly puffing away on it. Using higher strength meant that I would take a more reasonable number of puffs then put the e-cig down, quite happy. These days I vary quite a bit and may well use 18, 24 and 36mg liquid in the course of a single day.
However, the chart may still be a useful guide to new vapers and naturally I have no desire at all to encourage anyone to increase the amount of nicotine they are using if they find they are happy with a lower strength liquid.
Hence, the mixed feelings - I really don't want to confuse newcomers when they are already busy learning the basics of vaping.

Tetsy, I know exactly what you mean re the mixed feelings about the chart. I've also read that the jury is out about how much nicotine we actually absorb through vaping.
What about if it's put in a pinned thread with the Title saying "Guide to e-juice usage" or something like that?

Very well spotted, Chrissie! 'Fraid I couldn't resist joining in that one (including C&Ping part of my previous post) and having a prod about the TW strengths issue as well...
I actually enjoy Trog immensely even if he can be a bit harsh at times because he clearly doesn't suffer fools gladly, if at all! A bit like Jason, he says what he thinks but I don't think he loses his rag the way Jason does. He just loves a fight for its own sake, but I can imagine him he-he-he-ing at your 1,000mg comment with real pleasure! Go on - I dare you...
As for the chart, with more thought I think your notion of pinning it may well be a good one. I'm sure newbies will find their way to more opinions if they are genuinely interested (or even ask, if they don't find the e-cig satisfying!) and I'm definitely against encouraging anyone to overdo it to start with just because they can.
Totally off-topic, do we know how Migsie's doing? She has been active but her fish still has flu...hope she's getting over it by now. ((((Migsie))))

Tetsy, Trog has come back to that thread saying he can vouch for all TW juices being correctly labeled. Lol, I think I have had more than my fair share of set to's for a while due to our Eco(e-cig) warrior Lets see if we get any other opinions on the chart. I heard that Migsie still hasn't got over the flu, I've not got over my bug either.

I vote for a sticky with a preambling caveat along the lines of "this is a vague guide to give newbies some idea".
Nic strength equivalents are certainly FAQ'd by newbies.

Thanks for the chart. Even if not completely accurate it gives an idea of what I should be using - I'm pretty certain I'm taking in far too much at the moment as I will keep 'testing' things!! Hopefully I shall find a happy medium both in the strength and quantity of juice/carts but even if I am 'vaping' too much/too often, I haven't had a single cigarette for two days and am not missing them one bit. Fox PS: I completely forgot to say I'm using a 901 and an Evo at present.

That's such good news, "no cigs for 2 days", Fox - I find it a tense time when a newbie starts out, I dread they'll get landed with faulty gear or they'll hate the taste... Good on ya! scylla

I chain vape when on the PC (used to chain smoke .........) but actually I am now mostly vaping glycerin when I do this. When I am out and about and need to actually get a nictotine fix more quickly from a few puffs - I use stronger liquid. You could never tailor cigarettes to give you the exact amount you needed like you can with e-cigs

Well done Foxy I also recommend you buying a bottle of glycerine to cut your e-liquid with. It's cheap enough to buy (about £1.00 for 100ml from most chemists), makes your juice go further & produces more vapour

I've ordered some liquids from TW in very high strength that I shall 'cut' with glycerine - I read that tip somewhere or other and it sounds like a good one to me. Thanks for the heads up - I need all the advice I can get. Fox PS: I'm now hooked on Scott Bonner's (Igetcha) You Tube reviews - better than Corrie!!
