I think I was the second Chrissie - or possibly the 3rd. Iremember getting very drunk on my 50th birthday and accidentally buying my first e-cig on my selling id! It is still the last thing I bought on it. When you could buy e-cigs on ebay............................ and no one else had heard of them at all.

I have used f-secure (last year's winner) since 2005. I pay around £26 a year to cover 3 pcs for a year (50p a week) and have never had any problems. It has caught and killed stuff other software hasn't even spotted - and picked up an earlier version of the ebay bug - which came off photobucket about a year ago - and zapped it in front of my eyes!! Basically it shut my whole pc down in a split second - flashed to the blue screen of death - rebooted me and gave me a message to tell me it had caught the little varmint!! Over the last week, because of the ebay thing - I have run a couple of other things just to check up - and they have found nothing at all. The only thing that puzzles me about f-secure is that so few people have heard of it or use it.

I seem to recall that there is a good reason not to drink water from the hot water tank. Typically it escapes me now, when it might have proved useful.. Lynda (a common occurance) Yep - do you want me to tell you Water is kept clean and bacteria free by the addition of chlorine - which isn't stable in water. In standing water it dissipates within 24 hours - after which the water becomes unsafe to drink. Boiling will usually kill most bugs - but there are other issues with water from the header tank. If you want to know what they are - lift the lid on the loo cystern and take a peak. See all that green slime round the edges? Basically the tank never empties - and thus the water is not fresh. Further, unless your header tank has a lid on it - living things that access your attic could find it a useful place to drown ........ In case anyone wonders - one of my previous jobs was working for a water company. One of our "stories" was of an office in a large building where the staff filled the kettle from the cold water basins in the loos. They kept getting sick - and narrowed it down to the water. Eventually after much investigation by the Water co (who had established it was safe at point of entry to the building) - someone checked the header tank - which was on the roof. The lid had come off in a storm and there was a dead pigeon in it. This is a summary warning to only use water from the taps which say "drinking water" on them when you are in large buildings. They are the ones fed directly from the mains - and that water is safe to drink.

Pleased to see Clutter here and just to add that you don't have to get addicted to buying all the gizmos!! I am still quite happy vaping the super - which is what I started on. I did experiment with juices in the early days - found 4 or 5 I like - and now continue to use them. As for the "chain vaping" thing.... I used to chain smoke when on the PC - now I chain vape and simply use mostly glycerine when I'm doing it. Anyway - Happy New Year!

Yes - I bought my first e-cig from him on ebay - about the time he set up ~TW - he still had the old website at that time. I have just bought some more supplies from him - as he is much cheaper than Simon - who is the only other supplier I have used for the "hardware". I will wait 24 hours for that to be despatched - and then go on the forum. He was out of stock of a lot of the "super" stuff - so I wonder if it is going to be withdrawn? I hope not - as I still rate it - and wouldn't want to have to replace all my kit. I think I've only ever had one atomiser break on me ....... Have now lost loads of them - but they don't break - I have some which must be a year or so old.

Wotsit - if you are addicted to the exhale - you need to track down some glycerine. It produces clouds of vapour..... I buy mine in my local chemist - just off the shelf - though many people buy it in supermarkets. Make sure you are getting 100% glycerine without additives..... As for flavours - you can buy them in the juices - or buy separately (for example the Lorann range - designed as food flavourings). Be careful to avoid the ones based on oils - as they can clog up your atomisers..... Some suppliers do little multi-packs of different flavour juices to sample - and those are a good idea. You don't want to get stuck with 30ml of juice in a flavour you hate.

Hi - I'm a bit out of touch with the new e-cigs - as I still use the one I started with 2 years ago. I'm sure someone will correct me if this won't work with what you've got - but I "water down" my juice by using glycerine. You can buy bottles of it from the local chemist about 100ml for about £1.20ish. It is much the same as the base used for the juice - and gives loads of vape. It is a little more viscose - so you do need a tiny drop of pure water or something - but it gives loads of vapour and it cheap. I mix the juices I buy - and use about half glycerine to half bought juice - this obviously reduces the nicotine % - and slightly dilutes the flavour. Though I do add lorann chocolate to my mixture - so that I get my own favoured flavour - and am happy with it.

Which is why I need to be sober and be very careful to think what I'm saying.
