Vapers Network

Hi

I hope it's ok for me to drop in with some news of a new vapers organisation that's setting up. I wanted to add this forum to our list of links but thought I'd better come and say hello first.






Here's the bumph:

Vapers Network began on 20th November 2009. It is dedicated to improving communication and access to support for users of personal vaporisers (including electronic cigarettes/ecigs).

There are a lot of vaping communities but we are fragmented. Our hope is to unite and empower those communities by encouraging communication, co-operation and sharing of resources.

As vaping becomes more widespread we keep in mind the millions of smokers who could benefit from a satisfying smoking alternative. There are no known health risks with vaping beyond sensitivity to an optional ingredient in the liquid used to make vapour. No deaths linked to PVs have been recorded since ecigs became commercially available around three years ago. Unfortunately, in that time smoking has caused bad health and premature death for thousands.

Unscientific and authoritarian forces have banned the use and/or sale of PVs in many countries, preferring to support the deadly tobacco industry.

Vapers Network is for enthusiasts, you're welcome to join us if you share our aims and want to contribute to the community. We enjoy good company and the satisfaction of knowing that we are helping to make changes that could save lives.

Kate, I feel so honoured to see you posting here (to me you have always been the best & most unbiased advocate for promoting e-cigarettes) To say I would be happy for you to add this forum to your list of links is an understatement, again I would be honoured.

Oh, & I apologise for the stupid way proboards add such insulting adverts when anyone links directly to a youtube video :-( (maybe one day this forum will be busy enough to make it worth my while to pay for the choice of it being advert free?

Hi Chrissie, it's good to see you and thanks very much for the warm welcome

I haven't seen you in ages but it looks like you have a nice community group here.

You're welcome to drop in at Vapers Network any time you like. I have quite a few ideas for things I'd like to do to connect vapers but my technical skills aren't up to my ambitions. I'll be sure to let you know when I get things going - hopefully we'll have a newsletter, a web ring and various other ways to keep in touch.

Kate, it's so lovely to see you I've just joined Vapers Network & I hope others from this forum will also join.

We started off as an eBay group in October 2008 but had to migrate here due to an email I recieved form an eBay Pink threatening to close down our group unless I removed all links to e-cig sellers :-( |After removing the links & hundreds of threads, it became impossible to help new members Sadly though very few of the 628 members as have followed us here to join this forum

It's a pity when communities are broken up like that but it's better if you're in charge of deciding what content is appropriate. Hopefully you have a more stable home now.

Nice to meet you Kate - I don't go on big forum as I haven't much sense of direction and get lost easily. Usually when walking in a straight line

However I am a contented vaper and would like to spread the word more.

Hiya Kate I too am pleased you've found us and included us in your Network. And I wish the Vapers' Network every success in its mission - the word is spreading, but not fast and far enough and there's still too much adverse and ignorant opinion out there

Sorry you're not on top form Chrissie. Have lots of treats and put your feet up as much as possible. Pampering is the best prescription I reckon

ECF turned into a bit of a dictatorship suddenly and I was kicked out in July but I try to start new health groups where ever I go, lol. There's The Clinic at Vapers Forum and The Health Centre at Vapers Network now. If you need tea and amateur therapy I suggest Vapers Network

I was thinking that you were THE Kate who was banned, LOL And I've noticed a lot of discontent there ECF is too big for me, I rely on Chrissie, Keef and Marian to keep me up to date, although I do still pop in occasionally to see what's up on the GG front.

The GG front... That's the most confusing and infuriating category on the whole forum. I was going to explain "confusing" and "infuriating" but got myself all confused and infuriated in the attempt so I've given up

Ha, yeah. I know what you mean and I would say a bit more about my thoughts about ECF but that would be pointless and annoying
