Hi buckowski, glad you like the cartos to.I must admit that they are really good.Glad you have noticed the cleaning tips mate, hope you have as much success with this method as i have.Although im finding that a few people are taking the p1ss out of this method,it just seems that throwing them away when they still work is a bit, well, stupid if you ask me.

Taking the piss !! Stupid !! Really !! I have read all this before regarding cleaning cartos and atties and there are arguments for and against. Lots of debate about it some months ago on ECF and as far as I could see most said it was not worth the bother.

Ian - did your doo-dah thingy (see how technical I am) arrive? Mine did yesterday - complete with a little stand. And as Perp says, does its thing very nicely with the GD. And........... I took your carto idea and boiled 12 atties - as a last ditch effort to see if they would revive - not of course expecting them to. I was about to bin them. But, blow me - so far, three are going great guns, and have been all day. Haven't tried the others yet, but am hopeful. The one on my GD has turned into a mega-throat-thumper. So a very happy 'miser' here.

Its not a new idea Ian as I have already explained I have seen this discussed on ECF a fair while ago as well as boiling atties.

I've been thinking about this whole boiling of carto's thing, there's no way I'd have made a new ciggie up from the dog ends I discarded, although goodness knows I could have from the tobacco I used to waste. So why would I boil a carto? Could it be that vaping is more than just a smoking replacement practise and that for some of us it's become a hobby of sorts, whether that be boiling carto's, DIY mixing, acquiring a collection of ecigs . . . . interesting.

Kenny, mate.I never said it was a new idea.I found it on you tube a while back and thought, what a load of crap,it wont work. One day i just decided that i would try it as i was low on cartos and my atties were terrible.I did it and it worked which did shock me i admit.I just feel it can be useful as a get out of jail card.If you do save alot and boil then put them as a back up,they can get you out the sh1t when all else fails.Anyway on this issue i can see that we will never agree.BUT anyway its nice for everyone to hear both sides of what we are both saying then they can make up their own minds if its beneficial for them to try or not.

I also Strongly agree with Perpy that vapeing soon turns into a hobby.I mean, when i first started it was just a device to get me off cigs etc.Even after 3-4 months thats all it ever was. When did it turn into this mad new hobby??I honestly do not know.I think that alot of time doing research on the net and you tube led to this mad behaviour. Also the atty problems and general e-cig problems that happen whilst vapeing make you(while a newbie)very frustrated.SO you are always on the lookout for better attys, batterys or equipment in general,to try and better the whole vapeing experience.I think that if you had an e-cig that just worked and continued to work well alot of these modifications and mad ideas would never be necessary. How lovely would it be to have 1 e-cig setup that lasted, say a year or so without faltering?Mind you its never gonna happen is it.

Getting experimental with vaping gear could be what keeps some of us previously incurable smokers happy If it works, don't knock it! (I understood that the boiling does clean the filling, so it's not quite like making new fags out of dog-ends - yuk, I can taste some of my dog-ends now, just thinking about what I'd sink to when desperate ) scylla x

Completely agrees with Scylla - if it works - don't knock it! Come on folks, everyone is entitled to their opinions & it's fantastic to see members trying to help other vapers to save money. After all, that's one of the main reasons I first started an e-cig forum

I now beleive it is an appropriate time to bury this subject in the archives of the forum.I feel that it has been explored to indepth and that the conclusion is????erm, well, that everyone does things differently and as long as your happy in what your doing and life is good then live long and dont take vapeing to seriously, simply ENJOY.
