Insurance for selling e-liquid (Products Liability) starts at around 5K per year, depending on turnover. Seriously?! So if I was to set up a local business selling kits and juice I'd have to spend £5000 before I could sell my first 10mls?

Lol . . . I've a drawer in my mate's freezer as well Giles, that's friendship for you. I take it then that when Freezer was mentioned you meant Fridge? Sadly not Lobey . . . I've my fridge with some juice/flavourings in it, a drawer in my freezer with base . . . and a drawer in my vaping mate's freezer with base. Then I think there may be a box of ready made juices kicking about in a cool dark place somewhere. We're pretty well stocked up for a while really.

“Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital. MY partner as a data analysist for HMIC, works with statistics day in day out i HAVE to remember to tell him this quote tomo! Anyone know where it's from? Prof. Aaron Levenstein, was associate professor emeritus of business at Baruch College, from 1961 to 1981, when he retired. His famous quote is: "Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital." He wrote: Escape to Freedom: The Story of the International Rescue Committee.

Of course, if you don't mind losing your house etc

I guess I will need to read up a bit on this Mixology lark before I buy a couple of fridge/freezers and a third party insurance policy. This will end up almost as expensive as smoking!

Lol Lobey & Ash . . . freezers work better when they are full, I was once told, so I try to follow that advice to the letter.

When I smoked, I'd be happy if I had enough fags in the house to do me today and tomorrow. I now have enough juice for the next 70 days. So how many days do you have Perpetua? Or should that be "weeks or months or years or decades"?????

Ciggies I used to buy 200/300 at a time and stressed when I got down to 60 Lobey, just over a day's worth of fags for me I'm ashamed to say. That probably tells you how I approach stock levels of eliquid, I blame the retailer in me, but in actual fact I'm an obsessive, compulsive, impulse shopper.

Oh I understand that. I was over 40 a day and I have already had one heart attack, so changing to e-cigs is a good move for me. I see on my banner that I've hit the 3000 avoided ciggies today! Amazing how it quickly mounts up. As for the buying of fridge/freezers and insurance policies, well while I may go for one of the first, but with a "customer base of one" and he is still 50/50, I think I will forget about making a fortune selling the stuff. In a way I am glad the insurance on selling e-juice is so high. It means that those I buy e-juice from are going to be dammed sure that the stuff they are selling is top notch and really safe.

It does make you wonder if some of these vendors are properly insured, vat registered and actually setup as a trading entity. Expensive business indeed to do it properly/legally

..well you wouldn't unless you investigate or something went wrong > Edit: A good starting point is to check the contact details of a website vendor and check through the 'about' or terms to see if the registered company details are there along with VAT number.
