You can't see the last picture, Scylla ? It's three polar bears having a barbecue.

Now listen, folks, I'm supposed to be watching Miss Marple to relax me for sleep (nothing like a few murders in idyllic villages with stereotypical Brits talking thru their noses) Must check the main forum for a possible distress call, then off I go! scylla x

LOL @ penguin on polar bear - that is funny. I'm sitting huddled in a duvet right now, waiting for a plumber! My heating packed up on Friday morning and I've had no heating over the weekend. I really should get myself a spare heater! I feel like a bag lady! Fox

O no Foxy, my big double radiator in the lounge has given up working, but fortunately I've a gas fire . . . hope your plumber can get the heating back on for you today, it's so perishing cold. Those little Halogan heaters, if there are any left in the country are really effective and very cheap to run. Sage Leaf can be quite effective for hot flushes/night sweats Scylla, although not recommended for anyone with blood pressure problems . . . Red Clover would be better. Not quite a polar bear Jerry . . .

Those little Halogen heaters, if there are any left in the country are really effective and very cheap to run. They are cheap and relatively cheap to run. That's what I have in my bedroom, even though there's a HUGE radiator there. They are quite ugly but extremely safe and effective, here's a rather large selection of images: www.google.co.uk/images?um=1&hl=en&biw=1366&bih=653&tbs=isch:1&sa=1&q=halogen+heater+image&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=Mine has a remote control but I've discovered that an old remote left over from a broken appliance will operate both the heater and my fan with different buttons, which is miraculously convenient I hope your plumber sorts you out in one day, Foxy - I know you trust him, that's a huge advantage, stresswise Was about to research sage leaf for contra-indications and you've come up with a very important one for me Already tried a good few months of red clover, no relief scylla ???

would that be Clonidine, Scylla? Yes it would I found it by accident whilst surfing and was amazed when doc said "Yes, I prescribe that" and it seemed such a happy coincidence that it treated both BP and meno. I had to miss an appt cos of the snow so he phoned me instead - he asked how the Clonidine was doing re hot flushes etc and when I said "no difference" (which there wasn't at the time) he said "there's only HRT otherwise". I've got my fan blasting at me now, I'll be freezing soon and wondering why Love all the roos! And Skippy would be too nippy for me to see Love the polo bear but what sad connotations, his homeland disappearing from under him scylla x Dear scylla: Please may I have a hot flush? Fox

Chrissie and Scylla, I have seen that message before, too, it may be because there was some animation in the picture. No Scylla, I don't think you are "nutz", but I do think that you have a great sense of humor. Heating has become very expensive here, especially in the Northeastern U.S. where most of us use oil to heat our homes. I use electric space heaters, in the daytime and the oil furnace at night. It works out quite well and is cheaper than just using the central heat. Jerry
