Tried dripping and did not like it. Bought drip tip to use with my Tornado and found it disapointing as the draw was too airy. I like the 510 atties but they are renowned to be bad on the wicking which they are. I do like the throat hit they give and really don't have problems with flavour. Tried the cart with the filler out for dripping and found this was too airy as well so was about to give up and return to the usual cart method of keeping it well topped up which was okay but the juice in the cart never wicked down completely so I thought this was a bit of a waste. Had a brainwave!!! I don't have these very often lol. Thought I would put dry foam into the cart and try the drip method and guess what it works. The dry filler gives a tighter draw and I can now use the drip method and have a satisfying vape. I only write this in case someone wants to try it and also to invite comment from other members who use other methods of dripping that satisfy them.

I don't drip, Kenny, never have, I use carts, with the fluff. One trick I learned early on was to use a "vent pipe" with the filler material. I cut the plastic stem from a cotton swab and put it into the corner of the cartridge. It allows air to excape and more e-juice to be put into the fluff.

Interesting Jerry. So do you cut a piece the same size as the cart and put it down the side of the filler?
Ken.

Yes Kenny, I cut it slightly shorter than the length of the cart, so it doesn't contact the bridge of the atomizer. One end should be cut at an angle to allow air to enter and the other end cut flat. Since it's plastic, it can be cleaned and re-used.
I found the modification on the ECF, when I first joined there. Any small plastic tube should work, but I found the plastic stem of a cotton swab to be perfect.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner Jerry but my daughter rang from Ireland and I have been catching up with the latest news. Well, as soon as you replied I did what you said with the cotton swab and have to say that I have for the last hour been having the best vape ever. The vent pipe does the job and I am now a non dripper again lol. You are a cracker Jerry and I am now an even happier vaper. Many thanks. Bye the way a cracker is an Irish Belfast term for a great fella. Cheers Jerry.

LOL Another tip, when the fluff is full of e-juice, I store it upside down, so the juice won't flood the atomizer. When the vape gets a bit light, I store it right side up, so the juice at the bottom of the fluff comes up to the top. I can vape on one refill for a long time, doing that.

I have been using it for so long, that sometimes I forget that it is a mod. I'm glad that it's working out for you, Ken and Ian.

I believe what you're talking about is the straw mod, Jerry...i don't use carts much these days, but when i did, i always used that mod...lets you get more juice in the cart without it pooling on top too much...

Yes, Lilac, it is the straw mod, I just got used to calling it a vent pipe, because that is what it does, vent the air out of the fluff.

A belated hello to you too, Ian. The ECF was the only forum that I belonged to, until Chrissie invited me to join here. I'm glad that she did, I have met so many nice people on this forum....except for Lilac, lol. Just kidding, Lilac. Jerry

Yes, you've reminded me that I tried the straw mod - but I didn't get on with it because of incompetence scylla

I'd be the same as you Scylla, due to my own massive technical inadequacies . . . . don't suppose you chaps could post a picture of what this thingy is supposed to look like when it sits inside a cart, just to help us ladies of slightly more mature years.
