As per my title. I went cold turkey almost 6 years ago but have resumed where I left off 7 weeks ago and am shocked to get through 30 Superking length a day if I have them although can go several days without any if I can't be bothered to go out and get some I've never had nicotine withdrawal any time I quit. My friend is smoking regular size cigs and takes a few puffs then tamps it out. Then relights later and tamps it out. She sometimes manages to get 3 smoking situations out of one ciggie. In her own house she smokes the whole ciggie. She has emphysema and suffers frequent bouts of bronchitis and pneumonia. Recommendations very much appreciated.

Clutter, since you don't have nicotine withdrawals, I would suggest that you use zero nicotine e-juice and since your friend is a very light smoker, I would suggest 6 mg nicotine juice for her. I always recommend a KR808D-1 cartomizer to new e-cig users, since they don't have a separate atomizer and don't need constant topping off, like cartridges do. I believe that you are in the UK, so I can't really recommend a seller, except for Totally Wicked, which has a UK and US website. Jerry Edit: I just saw that Chrissie has come to the rescue. She will have good links and good advice for you.

OK, I'm going to recommend a DSE901 if you & your friend prefer an e-cig that isn't much bigger than a real cig. Plus as both of you don't sound like consistent heavy smokers, I think the batteries should last you fairly well between recharges (apart from when hitting 30 a day). www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=1However, if you don't mind the idea of a larger sized e-cig then go for a Riva (again I'm going to recommend the 901 version as I personally so much prefer the 901 atomiser to the 510. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=83If you go for either of those, when you get to checkout, use "allaboute" as a discount code to get 10% off. You will also need some juice (e-liquid) especially for the Riva as the cartridges you get with it are blank. You can buy good e-liquid from Liberty Flights & many other great sellers - my faves are from Paradise Vapes : - paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/index.php/cName/ejuice-tobacco

I'd stick with a Tornado, Ego or Riva. Use the code NY2011 and then WICK110 on the Tornado at totally wicked, that'll bring the price down a bit. Could opt for a tornado starter set, only one battery, but everything you need to get started, and a bit cheaper so at least if you're not initially liking vaping, the cost would be lower. I'd also recommend a new user to try a low resistance atomiser, as sometimes, the normal ones that come with the kits can be a bit weak... Edit - not sure when the NY2011 code starts, probably Jan 2011. so may have to wait a couple of days till it accepts the discount.

I'm not sure that my friend can be described as a light smoker. I think she's still getting through a pack a day. Does that make any difference to the recommendations for her?
Thanks for the recs for me. I shall go and investigate.

Truly, I just didn't want to muddy the water, Chrissie - it's complicated enough already for newbies I agree with your recommendations anyway, but would just add that any order for juice with James needs to be done PDQ, as he's off to the US for 3 weeks in a few days. I saw him say that he's practically out of LnB, but if you both smoke non-menthol cigs then his Benson Fences should be fine to start (according to those who've tried it). It's on offer, I think the 60ml comes in 2x30ml bottles (maybe 3x20ml?) so you could share the one order, it's at the top of the list here: paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/index.php/cName/specialsThat quantity should fix you both up for a week or two at least Re hardware - you should aim to have at least 2 batteries and 2 atties each. IMO the "ordinary" atties (rather than the all-in-one cartridge/atomiser ones) are more straightforward to refill for newbies, not wishing to underestimate anyone scylla

I agree, I smoked 3/4 of a pack of ultra-light cigarettes and I found that 16 - 18 mg strength was perfect for me.
