SS MAXIMUS PRO - Your thoughts?

First thoughts would be that the tubing he's supplying as extra is not the same as fitted in the Maximus.

Perhaps he sourced it from somewhere else?

Unless he says we will not know.

And second thoughts - the silica tube may have something else on it. Try burning off with a lighter before using it ? If it seems quite stiff it may have a resin coating on it.

I do this with some of the carto tubes.

Not what I expected, held it under a cooks blowtorch for 30 seconds, pulled it off the metal spike i was using and it crumbled in my fingers like chalk. Sounds like Ill be chasing another refund this week

Removed tubing tightened coil and bingo, wicking no issue, had to rule out the mesh being at fault.

Did I mention im loving my latest fruity concoction?, ill post the recipe tomorrow

What a shame though with the tubing, although maybe the lot that Callum was selling seperately, could be different again?

I need Blakey now, I too have ripped the guts from a Carto and done exactly the same, same issue with the tube, Blakey if youre reading this can you confirm anything please?

I just wanted to say, although this topic has gone OT a little bit, my maximus is really pulling it's weight here.
The flavour has really come on and it hits the spot almost every time. I didn't want to start another thread, but I really am loving this thing.

hiya skwoddy the wick tubing is exactly the same as supplied with the ss maximus i cant see why it isnt wicking i have been using them since i had it with no problems . kindest regards callum

we have wick tubes coming and some spare tubes for the ss maximus that will be FREE just 99p postage for every ss maximus customer 1 time only per ss maximus customer
all of the 2nd pre ordered maximus tanks (any orders after sunday 14th ) will come with a spare tube for the tank and do not count on this offer.

Thanks for replying Callum, I'm gonna hold off til some of the more seasoned coilers have used the tubes and give any pointers. Can you confirm wether original batch customers will be contacted about the replacement tank? or will they need to contact you directly?

no problem sorry buddy i just cant see why it isnt wicking ??? have you got a nice airhole through centre your ss mesh can do this with a pin i have not tried cutting the mesh at a angle before not sure if thats making a diffrence cant see why it would really . the tubing can be ordered direct from the site and will be posted up on all the forums and site .thanks callum
