I'd imagine this is not too dissimilar to how MM's magnificent egg will look, once it's hanging in the Royal Academy . . .

Perpy, I couldn't eat an egg that was smiling at me, it would be too cruel.

I don't think this egg will ever be consumed Jerry . . . it's far to an important historical artifact, that should forever be preserved for mankind.

It's terribly exciting and more than a little stressful, the sheer anticipation of 'La Oeuf's' debut Jerry.

*idly wonders whether a 1,000 year old egg is being discussed? It must be getting near to it surely

I got myself an electric boiled egg cooker from Freecycle. My sis said I was an idle wotsit but if you knew the fidaddle of this thing. First of all I was boiling bantam eggsies which are half to a third of the size of a normal chook sized egg so I had to do quantum physics and trial and error to get precisely the correct amount of water into the thingwee and guesstimate the cooking seconds time to achieve a runny yolk with no snot on top. Plus you have to pierce the shells so they don't explode during cookifying. I'm sure someone somewhere owes me an ology in summat. As soon as I had the perfect boiled banty eggs sorted the flipping fox stole my banties

Jerry, gorgeous Instigator, the eggs were in the kitchen, the chooks and the fox were in the garden, then all of a sudden the chooks were in the fox Sadly the electric fence was in the lounge and not inbetwixt the chooksies and the fox. My vet's assistant assured me the fox must have been very hungry. I assured her that my dogs and my next lot of chooks will be feeding on quick fried fox. Bitter? Moi? As if
