Inspire me. I'm not a very good cook and I can never think of what to have and get bored of it all. It seems that we eat the same things all the time. So come on you lot what have you had for tea today. Give me some yummy ideas..
We had ham egg n chips and that went down a treat..

I used to love cooking but can't be bothered so much these days. I'm vegetarian & quite often cook things in largish quantities then freeze in individual portions. So today I had some of my Vegie Chilli with brown basmati rice - delicious

That sounds good, Chrissie. I do the same thing here, make a large quantity and then freeze most of it in single serving bags.

I shall have a ramble here. Detailed recipe, please, Chrissie. I sometimes buy brown basmati but it comes in such small bags Also, the "shells" seem to seal in the wonderful aroma. I just had muesli with added oat bran, wheatgerm, dates, prunes & banana. I'm eating eggs nearly every day, though last night I had sardine salad. I get hypo all of a sudden and go from not being able to even think about food to desperately having to eat. For some weeks I've been on the verge of ordering a chip fryer from Amazon (lord know where'll I'd put it): www.amazon.co.uk/DeLonghi-F26215-Viewing-Window-Capacity/dp/B0029NZW4U/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1YMJO9A53JXQW&colid=P04LQ4NHUKAONot many reviews but what there are are pretty good. I wouldn't pay more than about £35. The Tefal thingy that churns chips in a tablespoon of oil looks great but the early model caught fire and, besides, reviews are very mixed. AND, BESIDES, it costs a bomb Anybody got a brilliant chip fryer? scylla

Glad to hear I'm not the only one Jerry Can't really give you a recipe Scylla cos I just play it by ear or - or should say by taste Ingredients are just a mixture of : - Red kidney beans Plum tomatoes onions garlic Mushrooms red peppers & sometimes add sweetcorn) Cayenne pepper Cumin Basil (should use marjoram but prefer the flavour of basil) Tomatoe puree. I mainly buy my brown basmati rice from Asda - 1kg bags. Got to also admit that these days I mainly cook Aunt Bessie's frozen chips.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one Jerry Milady, sometimes I think that you are my long lost twin sister, separated at birth and sent to different continents.
