Well the wicking and coiling went without trouble and the moment of truth came and it would not fire up.Checked conections all ok. Scratched head and checked with multimeter all as it should be

Then compared the power inset in my lavatube it was in the right place so looked at the genisis underside and a piece of rubbery material was sticking out of the bottom post and the post seemed a long way inside so I adjusted same and it fired ok vaping like a steam train now

nice one buddy , i couldnt resist plain about with it was jsut sittin here on my desk begging me lol i seem to have managed it ok (i had same problem first time i tryed with the post ) and its 1.7ohms this time using 5 coils
i had to stick some 6mg blueberry i had in it tho since my thoats a bit buggered lol same i cant taste it fully
smells bloody awful if you just burn it with out the cap on tho like in the videos i was expecting that to smell amazing :/

what res and voltage are you getting/using with yours?

For me my sweet spot is 1.6 ohm 3.4 volts Lavatube

They all smell a bit with the top off just think what you're actually doing.Burning liquid with a hot wire

does yours get pretty hot? im loving mine at 1.7ohms 4.0volts on the mini lavatube the very top of the lt and the top tap of the gen are pretty hot

You have an orange hot coil heating a stainless steal mesh wick, that heat will transfer into the the attie itself- it will get quite warm
Perfectly normal

yeah makes sense my lavatubes not gona blow up on me tho coz it gets warm above the screen too .. im hopeing its protected some how to stop anything bad happening should it get to hot for what ever reason or ive got a short im not even aware of? coz i dont really know how id tell to be honest eekk

I swapped the ss driptip for a vivi nova one and it makes it even better

Just a question for anyone........The Genesis works very well but when I come to fill it I use a syringe and put the point into the liquid but however much I put into the tank it comes up the wick

Or you could take the other screw out of the top and drop the syringe in there...

Use a thinner needle/dispensing tip for your syringe so that there a gap between the tip/needle and the filling hole when you insert it..

Or remove the filling screw and fill through the centre of the wick...Do it a bit slowly..Air needs to escape from inside the tank. Too much pressure and the juice will well out.

Got mine yesterday from Vapingthings. The supplied coil popped
on the first drag so I've had to rebuild it.

It's having hotspot issues and the flavour isn't all I expected.

I can see me having to fiddle about a bit.

Yeah the supplied wick ain't great..It's also a touch short. 43mm x 30 mm mesh to make a wick 43 mm tall work well. I can vape mine dry with wicks of this size. May need a little trimming at the top once in place. You may need to bend the wick gently towards the center post to minimize the free air run to get rid of the funky taste at the top.

When rebuilding, test on batteries with known good short circuit protection else it may burn out ego type batteries.
