Hi all - I'm relatively new to vaping and have done three months on a combination of skycigs and disposables. I was doing great until last weekend when I dropped my last battery in the hot tub!
I've decided I love the concept and that it works so I'm looking for something to give me a bit more. After a lot of research on here I'm not getting any closer to actually making a purchase so was hoping you good people could help me out!
What I'm looking for is the most cost effective and satisfying device (including maintenance and replacement parts) which is small enough to take to the pub and good enough to use as my main. Something along the lines of a vgo2 perhaps? A Riva 510/ 1100 - viva mini...
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
Crin

To be honest for day to day vaping I personally don't think you can beat an standard ego kit, a CE4 tank makes the whole thing easier to deal with rather than the EGO-C atomiser combinations. The advantage of the EGO, parts are interchangable, cheap & readily available. They have a perfect conbination of being small enough to keep in your top pocket but pack enough punch to give you a kick. J

Am i right in thinking the ce4 is a nova equivalent of the ego v4 and is better? And battery wise do I go for ego's vv - mini - standard... too many choices!

Something like this would be a good starter kit, as it's a 510 thread you can add to it easily when you want to try new things code AAEC gives 5% discount

I'd definately recommend the Kit Karma has linked to, great starter kit that you can build on and ticks al the boxes.

Looks good - thanks for you help.
Next question is how long does an atomiser last the average person?

#welcome2# crin and congratulations on your first 3 weeks. Cigarette free?
The kit karma recommends looks like good value.
Personally I am a fan of variable voltage, and a lot of people seem to think that the mini novas (which I use) are better than the vision clearomiser. Unfortunately there is no kit for such things that I know of. So it is more complicated and more expensive - I reckon over £60 for a ego twist, spare ego battery (gotta have a spare) couple of mini novas, charger, plinth to make it look OK. And that is before you get the juice. Nevertheless, that's what I'd do.
You can of course get karma's kit and then add the mini novas and/or variable voltage later.
Whatever you do, don't forget to check for discounts in the forum vendor list.
Any questions, please ask.

Hello & welcome Crin Agrees with Des, the kit that Karma linked to is a good one to go for. The cartomoisers that come with that kit should last an average person about 1 week each. & the Vision ego that comes with it should last at least 2 weeks.

Sorry, crin, my post crossed with yours.
You may not get a useful answer to that question. Atomiser life is very variable depending on how much you use it, how hard you draw, what juice you use. I'd have thought two or three weeks might be an average, but others may have very different ideas.

Ok, now were getting somewhere. Do you guys think I should get an automatic battery? Not sure I fancy pushing a button every time.

Manual batteries are far better - auto's tend not to be sealed so e-liquid can get into them & kill the battery. pressing the button soon becomes second nature - honest

Just to throw a spanner in the works - I've been watching videos of the Riva and I think it may be too big. The case looks too big to fit in your pocket and the whole thing is somewhat less than inconspicuous. I think I could go for something with a smaller battery as I don't smoke a vast amount. Any other ideas along the lines of the vgo2?
