I know that several of you have helped support Chaldon Animal Sanctuary, founded & run by Liz & Jacky for 20 years. : - www.chaldonanimalsanctuary.co.uk/about.htmA couple of days ago Jacky was rushed into hospital. She had a blood clot in her arm & due to her health it was inoperable  Sadly she died early this morning  RIP Jacky  My heart goes out to Liz, she not only has to cope with the grief of losing her longest & closest friend, but also continue to look after all of the rescued animals on her own |

Perpy & Hissie, I can hardly stop crying I just keep thinking about how painful & difficult it must be for Liz They both loved all of the animals they took in but Jacky had a special bond & love for the smaller dogs they had taken on in particular & I bet they will also be missing her so much So many of them had been badly treated before they took them in - hence why so many had behavioral problems & would have been PTS if Liz & Jacky hadn't taken them on. |

Aww I really don't know what to say except she was a great champion for animals & her life wasn't lived in vain.
I have great admiration for people like Jackie & Liz. I'm sure Liz will continue the good work with the spirit of Jackie beside her.

Scylla, that's my worry, Chaldon is out in the sticks & as they both dedicated their lives to the care of the animals & both in many ways very private people, Liz doesn't really have anyone close by to help |

I am so very sad to hear this news...
Liz has some tough times ahead!
I hope the love she has for and from the animals will help her through.
I'm sure that people will rally round to help and support her.

Thanks Lynda Liz is well known on eBay, not only due to Chaldon but also because she has helped raise funds for Deno (The horse rescued by an FHG poster). So an eBay group is being set up to arrange donations to Chaldon in memory of Jacky |
