After the kind help and advice I received on my first thread, I thought I would update you all. Ordered blue foam and juices from James, and refilled the carts with not too much mess . So far I have tried benson fences and hickory flavours and am really loving the variety and enjoying vaping. After smoking about 20 cigs a day for 40 years this is unbelievable to me. However I am still smoking about 4 cigs a day and I don't know why really, has anyone else done this at the beginning, or is it just me? Val

Val, don't worry about the analoge usage. It's all about the ones you haven't smoked than the ones you have Vaping is just an alternative to smoking. There is no right or wrong way, just do what suits your needs.

Hey Val, well done :0) I smoked for the first 3-4 days too even though I liked the e-cig more I was still having a real cig. I run out on christmas day and didnt buy anymore (there was a shop near by that if it had of come to it I could have stocked up). Took me those few days to trust the ecig would work and now its been over 2 months. Well done again :0)

My guess would be that just about all of us did this! I would bet it's some subconscious thing where we're hanging on to the analogs just in case the witchcraft of ecigs doesn't work! But it almost always does. And I'll bet you did the analogs altogether really soon. Good luck. Sean

Agrees with everyone else Val, you are doing so well One of the best things about the e-cig is that you needn't be put under any pressure - just use it as an alternative to smoking in what ever way suits you best

Can only agree with what everyone else has said Val, took me a couple of weeks to be completely ciggie free . . . it was almost like building myself up to saying goodbye to an old friend . . . even though I knew ecigs worked for me, it was making that final commitment. Then one Saturday morning, I just woke up, didn't fancy that all important first cig of the day and never looked back. I'm sure at the point that's right for you, you will too.

Val, don't let Norty Netty lead you astray Only joking {{{Netty}}} I smoked for the first 6 days, fewer each day. But I'm such an addict and was so smoke-damaged that I made a big effort to cut out the fags altogether. It doesn't have to be a big effort if you do what comes naturally and don't stress over it like I did It's the ones you don't smoke that count (we get boring with that one ). Congrats to both Val and Netty! scylla xx

After 40 years of smoking thats a massive achievment Well done, don't beat yourself up if you still smoke, 40 year habits are hard to break. I only smoked for half that time. Bought my 1st ecig only as a new gadget, not to stop smoking. At the time I didn't realise it could replace smoking. I was an accidental quiter, not had 1 cig since my first 901 kit arrived. Found out I prefered vaping. It was a little experiment to see how long I could go without a rollup, im still going lol. The first couple of days smoke free weren't hard for me, but felt a little uncomfortable, about as bad as a light cold. Im convinced it was withdrawal from the chemicals in tobacco. It only lasted 2 days. Everyones experience is different. Some people still smoke a few after years of vaping. And some accidently stop as its nicer. Theres no correct way of doing it. Could you imagine you'd only be smoking 4 a day? Just do what feels right, especially with all the stress. You've made a great start already. Good luck (sorry for waffling on )
