Thanks to all of YOU actually! You could probably tell I was running out of steam!
I've alerted number 1 son to watch out for it and I've got the orig. one here to take with me. (Bella the little bugger just chewed the end off it but it wasn't the battery end!)
Am determined to meet up with Perpetua when I get over. Big THANKS to Perpetua for holding up my flagging morale late last night!
(Will probably now find they sell them all at the airports lol!) Thinking of last year when I looked everywhere here for a decent 'mini pc mouse' - tiny one on retractable lead. Ended up buying a cheapie bigger one and, as soon as I passed thro' boarding at the airport, was confronted with a rotating stand FULL of the very ones I'd been looking for all over the island!

Tang, if you do find them being sold at the airport, they will most likely be as good as useless &/or overpriced. For instance, over in the states e-cigs are being sold in Malls for round about $250 & usually only come with 1 battery that needs recharging every couple of hours. Really hope you do meet up with Perpy, she is lovely & someone demonstrating how to get the best out of your e-cig is worth a million words

So glad you got it sorted Tang . . . . I shall eat my Riva if you're not well on the way to being a vaper by the time I've done a vaping workshop with you! Just shout when you're ready.

I am here Hope to see Perpie early next week. I'm charging it up but have no clue how to put it together properly as there is no diags for inserting the atomized cartridges (whatever that means) I will phone Perp later. \she is out right now and this tiny notepad is hard to type on

Here you go Tang, this video shows the Riva901 but it's assembled in the same way as your version : -
Don't forget your cartridges need filling with juice.

ahh well itinerary is as follows: \today I try register with new doc. \and attempt filling in driving licence renewal and seek out authorised post office. \back in time for arrival of daughter and her new bloke who are staying 2 night. \so it will be Monday at the earliest before I can get over to Perpie. I will liase and get a train and call when there once we've suited good time for you.
Progress with \riva is as follows: put it together and sucked lol! Nothing. held down the blue button (wot the hell is that?) and does produce vapour if you do that?
Not sure if these sealed atomised carts are prefilled or not. \anyway the3y are both fired up and ready to go. \but am using the old one because I understand it lol
\excuse the backslashes - I am struggling hard with this expensive samsung tablet notepad thing - not designed for my hamfist and I am useless with a touchpad mouse too I will watch the video again in a mo. Have already done the whole of bath town centre and been out to Cafe rouge for lunch and Hole in \wall for dinner and got to hit waitrose for supplies for the family dinner tonight. Then dig out the doctor.
still in shock from looking at the horrible3 passport photos - I looked 50 yrs younger than that when I left \cyprus lol!

Lol Tang, you need to press the button & hold it down while taking every drag The cartridges that came with your Riva are not prefilled. So if you haven't filled them yet, all you are getting is a small amount of vapour from the primer on the atomiser. If you carry on using it without filling your cartridge, you will burn out your atomiser

Well, i'm exhausted just reading this thread... Hope you've worked it out, Tang, and feeling better about using it now.. re the blue button....there's 2 types of batteries...automatic, like on your first one from the pharmacy, where there's no button to press and manual, like on your new one... the manual ones are better, you can take a longer drag, and it won't activate with loud noises like the auto ones sometimes do, most ecigs have manual batteries nowadays. If you don't want to bother refilling the cartridges with eliquid, you can just 'drip' the eliquid onto the atomiser - easier if you got a drip trip when you ordered it - sorry, i can't remember if you did or not, but if you'd like to try dripping, just shout and we'll talk you thro it, 2 drops at a time, till you get the hang of it

And a short video showing you how to refill the RN4081 & the same method should apply for your DSE103.

I'm pretty sure this is the sort of e cig I've ordered. I'd like an eGo or similar but this will do until I get started. Just one question about this video, shouldn't he be taking more care with the liquid? Seems to me he's dripping everywhere and is not too concerned about getting it on his hands. Is it only undiluted nicotine you have to be wary of?
*EDIT* Just as I finished typing this, there was a knock at the door. My e cig is here. Charging it as I type, can't wait to try it. I've had a look and it seems similar to the one described in the video.

Lee, just getting a few drops on your skin isn't going to be harmful to you. After all, folks stick nicotine patches on their skin Glad to hear your kit has arrived - if it is a RN4081 super-mini - that's what I started with. It should come with some factory charge in the batteries, so you can use one straight away. I hope you got a kit with 2 batteries in it as the battery of the super mini only lasts a few hours before needing to be recharged.

I only got one battery but I spend all day at home in front of the PC so it's not a big deal. I think this will do until I can get the Riva. 6 hours without a real ciggy and counting!
