North East vaper dies

Hi all,hope its not only me thats seen this on the news this evening?A North East vaper has died and doctors are saying the damage was done due to inhaleing e-liquid into the lungs?I think this is terrible that they are putting it down to vaping > I reckon it must have been the damage the fags did to this persons lungs over the years.

Ive just watched it on the local news Lisa.Really does look VERY bad for vaping.Doctor seems to think e-liquid is not safe at all.Im having none of it,though it is quite worrying

It shouldn't take long for this story to make it across the pond, then we will have to deal with the antis and the FDA saying "We told you it was dangerous".

As Ian said, the damage was probably done by years of smoking.

I wouldn't be too hasty in saying that our days are numbered, Ian. On what evidence did the doctor come to the conclusion that the culprit was vaping ?

I think that there are many unanswered questions:

How long did he/she smoke ?? How many cigs a day ?? What did that person do for a living ?? Where did he/she get the e-juice ?? etc.

It's far to easy to just say that the culprit was vaping, when there are many other possible causes.

Thanks Jerry,good point mate.I have calmed down a bit now thanks to your last post.You are rite,they cant just pin it on vaping without finding out 110% that this is the definate cause.Im still very worried though that a vaper has died from a lung related problem.In saying all this look how many smokers die every single day,thousands.It is only ONE person out of thousands of vapers.

There are other toxic substances that I'm sure some people can't resist testing in an ecig.

What other things do people use in e-cigs Perpy??Ive heard some people talk about cheap oils.I bet thats whats happened,its a drug user whos used some illegal substance in the e-cig and died.

Exactly, the first question should be, not that he/she was vaping, but WHAT were they vaping and where did they get it, if it was in fact e-juice.

Yes Perpy,North East and Cumbria news.I could not believe what i was seeing and hearing.I did not realise people used strong cannabis oil in e-cigs would have tried it if i had known
Seriously though,that is just asking for trouble.On the news it was just on about e-juice in general irritating the lungs when inhaled.Now this has been on the news it will cause people to panic which is not good for vaping.I am definately not worried,i vape 36mg juice,5-10ml per day and feel ontop of the world.

this is very tragic indeed and is the very first horror story i've heard about since i started vaping.. i can't help but feel very worried now but again, as ian does- i feel only the benefits of vaping
