Delighted to hear how well it's going Mandi! Are you dripping directly onto the atomiser or are you using cartridges?
If you're using carts, you want to make sure the filler is wet through but not soaking otherwise you'll flood the atomiser . . . too little ejuice and you'll get a burnt vape.
You'll probably find you vape more than you smoked, no cause for alarm . . . some of the nicotine is lost in the vapour and your body will also absorb it differently to how it does with ciggies.
So, you'll need to vape more in order to get the same hit.

One question - how much do I put in the atomiser? I only poured a few drops into it as I was a wee bit wary of overdosing or summat. Mandi If you mean you're pouring into the filler in the black mouthpiece (cartridge) I usually put about 10-12 drips in. Too much and you suck it into your mouth which is bleurgh! I only drop direct onto the atomiser when it is new to get rid of the taste of any primer which might be in it. I've been vaping since New Year and hadn't touched fags until the last 2 days because I mislaid my spare atties. Have really NOT enjoyed real fags and am so relieved my replacement atties arrived today. If you get 5ml of menthol you can put a few drops into the cartridge to change the taste of any baccy flavours you aren't too mad about.

Gawd, I hope I'm doing this right. It certainly feels right. I got the starter pack - the riva 910 and 10 dry cartridges. Then I got the juice today. I opened the cartridge took out the "filter" thingy and poured about 5 drops in. Wasn't sure if that was enough or too much, but it seemed okay although I got a bit of a taste of something on my lips. A mouthful of wine took care of that It's a bit fiddly pulling out the filter thingy and pouring in the juice which is why I'm not completely sure I'm doing it correctly. But it seemed okay and I certainly enjoyed the smoking sensation. Apart from a packet I bought a month or so ago and only smoked some of that pack, then threw it away, I haven't actually smoked since last September when I was in Italy on my own for the F1 racex and because I was on my own I went nuts and smoked about 20 or more each day over the 3 days, only stopping when my flight home was called! I remember years ago at F1 races they used to hand out free packets of Marlboro. I was always first in the queue! This was one of the reasons I considered the e-cigs - I'm going to a couple of races again this year and if I have these i won't end up buying a packet as soon as I get there. So I haven't actually switched cigs for vapes - it's more like patches for vapes. I'll have to look at the videos more and read up on any tutorials. It's a lot harder to learn to vape than learn how to smoke - that was easy - just bring yer school dinner money to Big Jeff behind the bike shed and he'll sell you 10

Clutter!
Yes! Thank you. That's what I was doing, but only putting about half in. That was probably enough on my first evening. I'll probably order some menthol juice of some description as I occasionally enjoyed a menthol smoke.
Signing off now as I'm going to have another relaxing vape.
Really, really want to say thank you to all of you for the advice and help you've given me.

Mandi, You need to leave the filler/wadding in the mouthpiece and drip the juice onto it. Make sure the filler is level or just inside the black bit which fits into the atomiser. I just poured the juice into the empty carts when I first started too That's how you get a gob full of evil juice I can't imagine what your wine tasted like

You don't need to take the filler material out of the cart to refill it Mandi . . . just drip the juice directly on to it and let it be absorbed. . . . then when you sense that you're not getting such a good vape . . . drip a few more drops on. Funnily enough I like F1 and my name is Mandy.

Hey! You must be my evil twin then! Or I'm your evil twin!
I'm actually Amanda but I use Mandi sometimes with a y online.
I love F1 with a passion that is beyond belief - have done since about 1978. I'm so sad I have every race from 1978 to last weeks recorded onto dvd.
Hubby hates it and hates getting dragged to Silverstone once a year. He refuses to go to any European races on the grounds that the cost of just one race would get him to his favourite football teams matches all season.

It certainly feels right. That's the acid test This is the point where I recommend a pair of pointy eyebrow tweezers. What I do is push the stuffing down into the cart with said tweezers, drip until the cart is nearly full, then pull up the stuffing with tweezers and squidge it about a bit. I have a very few very old carts which are larger capacity than the latest ones so I don't have to refill quite so often. I'm watching the F1 qualifying at the mo, hoping it won't be a Vettel procession again - but I fancied him (as a driver) about 3-4 years ago when I first caught onto F1, which I had detested all my life. Dunno what happened ??? Partly, I'm in total awe of the brain 'n brawn combo these boys must have in order to do what they do. scylla

Sounds like you are doing so well Mandi As others have said, you don't need to take the stuffing out of the cartridges (mouthpieces), just drip juice into the stuffing till it's nice & wet

tbh I only remove the stuffing for the first fill of any flavour, the rest of the time i just drip into it.
