I bought E-Litres last Friday as the girls in the local shop were raving about them. I was not at all impressed and I'm still smoking rollies!

Having found this site from a link on MSE I am staggered at the amount of info on here and the variety of options.

I spent the morning trying to make my mind up what to start with and have decided on the Riva 1100 kit. I am hoping this is a good starter kit. I will also get a USB mains adaptor and a few different sample liquids.

It seems that the kit has everything I would need to get started but I want to get stocked up for about a month, so as I smoke c25 a day at the mo how many liquids would I need and would I need any more cartomisers/clearomisers?

Is there anything else you think I would need?

Hi sooetie, ohh dear we've all been there I think... My fist step into the vaping world was with Elites, and it wasn't a good experience at all. But the good news is the only way is up from there

Be sure to get a spare battery and spare cartomiser/clearomiser. And most certainly don't forget your juice

This is a good starter kit but don't forget your mains adapter Have you tried any flavours at all yet ? I would suggest getting a couple to try as you say "samples" I personally prefer mints/menthols but others like tobacco or sweet flavours. There is a flavour to suit every taste.

The kit comes with 2 batteries and a USB charger so I will be getting a mains adaptor as I dont have my pc on for long periods.

Does anyone know approx how many normal cigs a 5ml bottle is equivalent to?

I was thinking of a mixture of flavours menthol, tobacco and maybe some fruity ones

A good kit is a must...................and the riva is very good

As for the strength of liquid........... I would go for 18 - 24mg. to tell you the truth I'm not sure how long 5mls would last.............. perhaps just under a day if you vape a lot ??? If your budget allows............ perhaps some vision rebuildables and spare heads with your juice and I think you will be good to go

The Riva kit which Ballsy linked to would be a great place to start

If you're buying from VapeEscape (which is an excellent place to buy from), get a bunch of Grizwald's samplers - you can get 10 for about £25.

It's really difficult to say how much liquid you're going to get through. I used to smoke about 20-30 stinkies a day and I guess I'm getting through about 2 or 3ml of juice a day now...

5ml is usually between 1 and 2 day's worth, but some people would get 3 days.

Looks like you're doing just right - good kit. You may still need to do some experimenting to find the right juice. Also the best way to draw on an ecig isn't (for most people) the same as the best way to dray on a fag, so experiment with long slow draw etc.

That should start me off and I'll get any other bits once I have an idea of what I'm doing. No doubt I will have lots of questions lol
