Mine are AW batts. I've also just remembered that I had to change the fuse after the first time I used it. Now not sure whether it's duff batteries or faulty charger ???

Thanks for the info Lilac and mine was from Tim but just ordered a replacement from LF, thought I would try somewhere different just in case it was a batch of bad ones. And yes using one channel works thanks for that but it's not right it shouldn't be that way. I'll see how the new one gets on, but because we work away it won't be for a while. Just put up with one on charge for now . Better than none though.

If you have not changed the fuse again to me that's ok, but if you have don't use it.....but I'm no expert as you can see, but that's just my own common sense talking and I would wait for the experienced guys to reply. Thank the lord for forums oh and the Internet

My Trustfire charger also plays up,it will only charge one battery now.One side charges, the other stays green and doesnt I got mine from a supplier on ebay.I think they are just poor chargers no matter where they come from.Luckily i have a spare 18650 charger but would like to buy a better quality multi charger.Any ideas anyone?

I know Raggy hunted high and low for a better option than the TR-001 Ian - he found one that was considerably more expensive but necessarily any better.
My thinking is that these are really quite inexpensive chargers in the scheme of things so if it's given 6-12 months worth of trouble free charging, then I'd buy a similar replacement.
We do give ( I certainly do ) these chargers a fair old amount of usage, probably more so than if they were being used for other battery operated items.

Very true Perpy.Mine started playing up after a week or two,ive been charging one battery at a time ever since. Its no major problem, just very frustrating.I hope Raggy comes along soon and can tell us which charger he got and where he got it from.

He went for another TR-001 as I recall Ian as the vast price difference didn't warrant the expensive model, it's just he keeps it charging in a fire safe box now.

Nice one Lilac,i shall get one of those to try i think. Its crazy having a multi charger that only charges one battery.I cant understand why so many of us have had problems with the same charger ??? A fire safe box thats a good idea with these chargers, mine gets so bloody hot.

Been quite a while since I last used my GGTB. I know it's not a problem with the the mod, but can't decide whether the batteries ain't charging, or whether the charger isn't actually fully charging the batteries.
I've even tried brand new atties & supposedly fully charged batteries & I'm hardly getting anything. Any ideas?

Have you tried cleaning the bit of the button that touches the post in the bottom cap, Hissie, as well as the post itself? i do find the performance does drop if i don't do this every week or so... re the charger, does it go red when you put the battery in, then go green a couple of hours or so later? try cleaning the bits i mentioned first

I've only cleaned where the attie fits.
Will try cleaning the post & see how I get on.

i must have missed this thread. and yes lilac thats the charger i bought, i also spoke to these people and had a good chat with them. they said that a large % of chargers sold on on ebay and ecig shops cannot for sure know they selling the real thing as with anything from china it is always copied. he assured me that they only deal with the company directly. he also said that there is not a charger that is totally safe and the £50 one they have is no safer than the one i bought, but it does condition the batteries, which is not necessary with ecig use. i dont now use a firebox but i do charge them in the conservatory against a brick wall on a slate floor with a timer that has those little slide out bits, i have 4hrs set to on, any other time is off, so i just put the batts in and spin it to the on hours section it will then only charge for 4 hrs max in any 24hr cycle. i also have a permanent alarm on my phone that i set to 3.5 hrs when i put the batts on, if i go out i dont really worry as the conservatory wont burn the house down, that said i have 3 x aw17670s and 4 x 14500s so there is never really a time when i out and there charging. all of this is seems no doubt over the top but unless you see one of these batts explode 3 foot from your face you will probably never really worry. i dont think this charger is expensive considering it will do quite a number of batt types and has some safety features. below are some pics of the damage the battery exploding did. this was the charger the sd tw battery this is where the battery hit the ceiling. raggy.........
