I recently bought the above about a month ago was working fine but now it has gone haywire on me. If I put 2 batteries in one light stays red the other flashes, and then sometimes both stay green, I have tried putting the batteries in before the plug is in and also after still having problems. Now nothing will charge even though the red light is on, only trying one battery at a time due to the above but no joy! Frustrating Oh and yes I always check the right end goes where it should and they are discharged, the batteries are 1 month old and 2 at 2 weeks. Only difference is 2 are blue 2 are red. 14500 3.7 imr. 600mAh. Any help would be appreciated, it didn't come with instructions btw, but guess it didn't need to.

Check that the sliding connector has'nt been bent backwards slightly. The peg has a pip on it that has to make contact with the battery. I've had one do this.

Just checked that BM ..but they both stay red now with 2 batteries. The one that stayed red has been charging for hours, yet still dead. Must be faulty...I guess.
Just to add one still stays red the other light flashes ..but the battery is dead! If I mess they change, mess I mean taking one out and then replacing but then one is green ..then both are red, and then one flashes ....grrrr

Andy, I'm going to move this thread out of the new members area to the general area & hopefully you will get more help Out of interest are they AW batteries? I've got a couple of 18650 AW batts & I need to wiggle them about to get them in the right position for my TR001 to charge them. I think it's due to the AW positive end being flat (for want of a better word)

Ooooo, I must have posted whilst you were moving And's thread Chris, cos my post went whoosh! Thinking of Raggy's experience, I did just say to be careful with this charger and might be best to contact the supplier for a replacement?

Oops sorry about that Perps I agree, it could be a faulty charger, so please be careful Andy.

That's OK Andy, it's only natural to stay close to home at first But your topic could be very useful to everyone and not everyone may "bother" to venture into the newbie section scylla

I've not seen a Raggy post in here. I'll have a look around ??? EDIT - There's nothing relevant in Raggy's last 10 posts. I see (above) that one of Perpy's posts went missing too. It must be ProBoards losing posts when threads are moved Or could Raggy have deleted his own post? not sure if non-mods can do that. scylla

Perpy mentioned his experience with a charger, I assumed he had posted in here Scylla.

Aaah! It figures now. There another thread from a few weeks ago - Raggy's charger blew up, fortunately he (being naturally safety-conscious) had rested it in a safe place so no injury was caused. I think it was an LF purchase, but bear in mind that the same models/brands are stocked by many retailers. Raggy subsequently sought out a higher quality, higher priced model elsewhere.

Funnily enough I've been having similar issues. In fact, I haven't been using my GGTB as the batts just don't seem to be charging/holding charge, even tho' the light on the charge is changing from red to green. Very odd.

Hi Andy, i had one the same which was doing similar to yours, if i only used one of the channels, it was fine, but if i used both, one stayed green when i knew it needed charged...i'd had the charger for about 6 months, so just bought another one, but if you've only had it a month, i'd defo send it back....
mine came from Tim @ smokejuice, which just proves Scylla's point that a duff charger could come from any supplier.
Raggy's did come from LF, and caused quite a bit of damage, so i'd call the supplier to send you a replacement Andy, then send yours back, so you're not stuck without a charger.
Let us know how you get on
