Would you be interested?

Hi I'm currently building a social network site for vapors around the globe.I'm gonna be putting alot of work into it and at the mo it will be on a free hosting site until i can afford to pay as at the mo I'm unemployed.So was just wondering how many people would be interested and if I'm treading on anyones toes then please say.

I'm hoping to have the following.

forums
chat room
news board
video share
pic share
groups traders/UK/USA/global and more TBA

its just something i enjoy doing as i haven't built a site for a good 5years and i love the ecig development.I would love to bring all vapors together in one group as i don't use face book so it isn't an option for me.So would like to start my own social group with the above features and just wondering who would be interested.Its gonna be a friendly place to come too with hopefully lots of help and what not and i know this is available on many forums but I'm hoping i can start something new.But if i am treading on peoples toes then please say.

The idea seems good but I dont think it would be much different than the forums we have here.

If you could provide a chat facility in the forum where we can chat with people who has been added as friends it would be something new I believe...

I have to agree with the others Roachie. It's a good idea, but it sounds like it would be another e-cig forum and there a quite a few of those already. Good luck with it, though.

Many thanks for your kind words and help.I really do mean that its input i need to be honest as i dont wanna do too much work into it and then no one uses it.Now i wouldnt mind trying to do a chat room but would be willing to talk to mods about this.As i could set one up for this forum and possibly do a locked room so only members can use it?

If you could design a chat room where people who has logged in ECF, Here, UK vapers and quite some ecig forums like that to come together than I guess it would be different.

I mentioned this before but tinychat can be used and I'm sure you can set up private rooms. It has video and text chatting.

I'm also in the No camp Roachie, for the reasons that have been mentioned.

Whilst I'm personally not hugely bothered by a Live Chat facility, I can see the appeal it would have especially for the more technically fluent members we have, plus it's important for our forum to keep moving forward with the times and maintain it's interest/attraction to as many vapers as possible.

I don't see the point of another forum - but a central information site would be great. Pictures, videos and technical info, plus sources, on all the different models, updated constantly.

That's what I'd like.

Thank you so much for all the infor from everyone least you didnt all flame me and say how stupid!!.Cause i have done in the past on other ideas ive had.I'm just someone who likes helping people to be honest and to promote things along.But this is an idea i think would be good for a site with info on different ecigs and what not be very interesting to research and its something i would work on.

So if this is something people would be more interested in then ill get researching and get stuck into it.

P.S even tho im new to ecigs its something i feel very strongly about its something what actually works and id do anything to promote it along.

I can see that you are itching to use your know-how to make a big contribution to the vaping community, Roachie - that is very much appreciated by us all, I am sure!

Let's wait and see what others think about a "Central Repository". I'm thinking that "experts" on particular models could send you contributions and you could edit and re-work their efforts to include in your site in your own style.

You could gather up existing info yourself, then put out requests for gap-fillers, and vapers could send you unsolicited contributions.

LOVE the idea of there being a sort of vaping wiki with all the models, mods, gadgets and gizmos in one place.

The one thing i would like to see is it being totally impartial, so no reviews from suppliers please.

ive mentioned about live chat before and as i run the same proboard software on my forum i found it is possible to set chat up live on this very forum that opens up in a box at the top of the screen but the last time i mentioned it not many were intrested.
maybe if their is enough intrest our lovely gorgeous mods might give it a whirl one friday nite ?
