Riva 1100

I started on e-lites because they sold them at the local petrol station, 200 cigs for £20 a bargain and sadly not true.
I had no idea that anything else was available. I had never seen or heard of vapeing/mods or silly things that look nothing like cigs.
I only found other systems from looking on the internet for stronger/cheaper ecigs.
Found Vape Escape on the internet ordered a vision starter kit (1 battery, 1 vision head, charger).
Went to the shop to pick up my new cigs and got introduced to the world of vapeing. Got the riva starter kit couple days later.
The riva starter kit was/is a great starting point but was very daunting for me. If the gent who talked me through everything had shown me a vv or vv/vw device I would have walked out.
I wanted a simple system that I can use indoors that will deliver nicotine. The riva starter kit does that. Cheap and simple.

We all have to start somewhere, and if we keep reading and analysing all the advice we receive, we'd get nowhere, apart from a headache. For a newbie, as I was nearly a year ago, I just wanted something safe and that would do what I hoped it would do. I can't remember whether the Riva was recommended then, but I went for a similar kit in the eGo from LF. It fulfilled all my expectations, and I've since gone on to Spinners, WOW, how advanced is that! Have not gone near a 'fag' since day one.

We are not all looking for the vapeing 'holy grail' just something that works. We can all go on to more advance equipment later if that is what we want to do, and turn it into a hobby. Most of us just want a device that will cut down our smoking and help us to save health and money. The Riva and the eGo do just that, for me anyway.

Hi Mybad, after reading 10 pages of posts I may have got a skewed version, but I think the point is that most newbies that come on here are just looking for a solution, Until we get into this game we don't know what we're looking for. The newbie is not going to spend hours and hours searching the web for something they don't even know what they're looking for. The 'kit' you 'appear' to be knocking gives them an honest entry into the 'game' and they can go from there.

I agree, but you have given the impression that there are better alternatives, and I'm sure there are, all I'm saying is that most us, when we start, have not the time or inclination to go looking for something we know nothing about at the time of looking.

I think we should all go onto video Skype so that we can see each other's expressions when replying

There is a few reasons why I still recommend the riva kit.

2 Batteries. < Required for anyone to switch to full time vaping.
Charger. < To charge it of course.
1 Clearo. < Most new vapers find them easier to fill
5 Cartos. < Not everyone likes Clearos. This gives them another option in case the clearo doesn't hit the spot.
Case. < To carry around all your gear.

Basically it's fuss free, gives you different configuration options and it's cheap.

And -the- most important thing.

Vapeescape in my opinion is the most reliable vendor in the UK. Will always go out of his way to help new vapers. If anything is wrong with your kit, Jason will sort it out faster than you can get to the letter box.
