You are so helpful, Foxy What I'd rather like is a PCC for the Creator/Cartomiser combo, which was perfect except that the trial battery I bought didn't last very long, I think it was substandard because Marian's was much better. The Cartomiser carts can be refilled with +/- 15 drops (dry ones, a lot more) and they last ages longer than normal carts. scylla

Chrissie, when you say that your GG works great with a 3.7v battery, do you mean that it's better than an SD with the same voltage? Scylla, I've not really used my SD since I got my GG grant last June so can't say for certain my Grant gives a better hit. I do know though that it gives a far better constant hit than a generic 901. I gave up on the SD due to the button - sometimes it made contact - other times it didn't. I also prefer the placement of the fully mechanical, locking button on my GG. Good info about the Pcc's Foxy, I've never tried them myself so it's always great to hear from anyone who has tried different equipment

The first link is from TW's forum. I'm presuming the BB that the OP had explode in his face was a Black Bullet mod? You don't need to read the whole thread, just the OP & then check out the photos that Igetcha posted for the OP, half way down on page 2. forum.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/index.php?topic=5091.0Then a similar occurrence with the GG Grant using those same batteries. However, the outcome was very different. The batteries vented through the vent holes (oposite end to atomiser) & though they did explode, the GG Grant was hardly damaged at all. so do you reckon id be able to use these on the plane to turkey www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/64570-gg-safety-tested-proved.html

Lol Raggy Seriously though, IMHO I would avoid buying a 6v mod that only takes 2 unprotected RCR2/15270's (the protected ones are slightly larger so may not fit ). On the other hand, there hasn't been that many reports of the batteries exploding - yet!

Raggy, we aren't getting very far with helping you choose a mod are we - sorry. If I've put you off going for a 6v mod (I'm still not against them as long as they are mods that take protected batteries & have vent holes), then do still think of going for a 3.7v mod because as Prof beard said on the other mod thread : "the "big battery" 3.7v devices will give 4.2v for MOST of the battery charge. They drop down towards 3.7v and below only towards the end of the charge. That's why such devices deliver a much better vaping experience than standard 3.7v e-cigs, whose batteries deliver 4.2v when absolutely freshly charged and then drop quite rapidly."

I'd add to that - the SD Mk1 is now MUCH cheaper than it used to be. Also it has had some improvements (it now uses the Mk2 SD switch for example - not that I've ever had the trouble that Chrissie described, but the new switch would rule that out completely) - there is a wide choice now too, look: www.cavecom.com/screwdriver/shop/shopindex.htmPersonally, I think the SD is probably the best value for money "premium" 3.7v device available - mine has been faultless for 10 months. (There are the "super premium" models like the GG and Super T ranges, but they are considerably more expensive than the SD is - hasn't stopped me ordering a Super Six though )

Prof, my SD was one of the first ones with the small button. It wobbles a bit, so if you don't press it straight on it doesn't connect. Let us know how you get on with the Super Six

Let us know how you get on with the Super Six My first SD was one of the earliest "big button" ones - bought early April 09. I'll let you know how I find the Super Six - I'm betting I will say - "Marvellously well made made - works just like my SD" (NOTE - I don't do 6v vaping - I'll be using it with a 14500 battery at 3.7v)

Prof, I bought my SD in Dec 08, so I guess you could call it a MK -1 I use my GG Grant with a 3.7v 14500 battery.
