I feel like I deserve 6 months sunning myself in the Bahamas, but I suppose a guiness would be nice! Get the little darlings to bed first though

Thanks Lee. I Would be very interested to hear your experience of being fostered It's hard sometimes to know if you're making a difference or not especially on days like today >

Thanks so much everyone, it was such a relief to finish it I had to 'tell' someone I've been a foster parent for the last 6 years, after several years of working with child protection and Young offenders previous to that. The CWDC training standards are something they decided to punish us further with, they're supposed to show that we can do the job! I originally had 2 years to complete the workbook, but spent the first six months being stubborn and refusing to even look at it! I've kept putting it down ever since! LOL. Feel like a million tons have been lifted off my shoulders now it's finally complete

LOL. Feel like a million tons have been lifted off my shoulders now it's finally complete It's good you finally got through it. There seems to be a fashion in all aspects of life where people have to prove that they can do a job they're already doing. My wife is a care worker and constantly has to do pointless form filling to prove she's competent. Presumably the person collating the results has to prove they can do their job too. Some of it is important but it gets over the top sometimes. As for me being in care, I was fostered by a family with one son of their own and about 8 foster kids. I wasn't a villain, if you really want to know why I was there you can PM me. The family gave me a taste of what real family life should be like and has stood me in good stead with regards to how I raise my own son. I lost touch with them but have never forgotten them and what they did for me. Well done again.
