Numbers of Vapers

Can anyone give a reasonable estimate of numbers of vapers in the UK.

I have read that there are about 700,000 - sound about right ?

Forum members on here 57-58 x50 = approx. 3000

I often wonder what the number of vapers is worldwide. Would be interesting to know.

The 700,000 seems to be a common figure for the UK. You can't work it out from forum numbers though. There are far more vapers that are not interested in fora? Also forum membership figures will contain a fair few who are members of 2 or more forums.

I think they said around 1 million on the BBC last week.

I read that in 2012 there were around 600,000 E-cig users in the uk and that was expected to rise to 1m by the end of 2013.
Although that expected figure has been described as extremely conservative and it is now looking at closer to 2m.

I read that before I signed up here when searching around regarding what e-cig to buy and I'll be damned if I can find where I read it!

Forgive my ignorance Roger    fora? ( plural of forum maybe)

I understand there would be many more vapers out there than accumulating numbers from various forums . If i remember rightly the 700,000 figure came from NHS estimated stats.?

I saw the same stat as toondog of just shy of one million. Not sure how they worked it out as I've never officially disclosed it to anyone.

Number of sales and revenue most likely, although they are probably not taking into account that many vapers are upgrading or buying multiple devices for different scenarios.

Well I was going to say from reading all the devices everyone on here has it could probably account for half a million of em.
