I doubt if I would win at the moment as I am keeping the speed down to 60 for the next 900 miles.

It would. The brakes on the estate are in pieces and the wheels are off.

Now day 3 and 155 miles on the clock.

Beginning to get the hang of its very low gearing and although they say that it has a tested top speed of 106mph, I doubt if I will ever take it above 70mph. It is just not that kind of car.

The main thing for me is its comfort. I have driven many cars and a few lorries over the years, but I do not recall any previous vehicle that I have ever driven in such comfort.
This was not something I was looking for when I ordered the Dacia and so it has come as a surprising bonus to find it so.

Just a wee update on our Duster.

It is run in now (1600 miles) and the other day we towed our, new to us but actually 16 years old, caravan from where we had bought it, to our home. All of 54 miles.
The Duster had been bought primarily as a tow car for this caravan.

Now I have towed caravans before with various makes of cars but I was always very aware of the fact that we were towing, but the Duster is a whole new experience. It tows like a dream and with its low gearing, we were not aware that there was a caravan behind us. I had to keep checking the mirror to make sure it was still there.
So smooth when accelerating and braking, we can now confidently go ahead and plan some prolonged touring next year.

So now I just have to convince SWIMBO that one of the upper lockers should be turned into a MOD and E-juice cabinet that will compliment my new Mobile Vaping Howf.

thank you for the update I thought it would be a good car and I think it looks very good as I said before my next can will be a Dacia all the best vic
