Marks on my tongue!

After giving up cigs 5 weeks ago I was glad to see my tongue had returned to a nice pink colour

I noticed the other day though and today, I have some brown/black marks on my tongue (not permanent, they can be scrubbed off with toothpaste and brush!)

Has anyone else had this from vaping? I thought it may be down to the colour in the liquid, but as I am suffering from lack of taste at the mo, the only one I've been using today is apple & cinnamon whch is amost colourless so it can't be that!

Could be the Cinnamon Method . . . it can have different effects/reactions on people.


As soon as I saw your thread, I wondered if it was an eliquid that contained either Ginger or Cinnamon.

Welcome Method . . . try having a few days off the Cinnamon, if they go away then you know for sure that's the cause. I get a really sore tongue if I overdo any Cinnamon type eliquids, it's a common culprit for varying reactions from vaper to vaper.

Yep I think I will. Funny enough I was only vaping apple & cinammon cos I havent been able to taste anything else for the last week lol

I wonder if you are just generally low, the fact that you cannot taste much. Have you had a cold of flu recently?

Nope not at all.. and when I first started vaping (with an e-cig type thing before I bought the Ego) 5 weeks ago everything was tasting great.

Hi Method69uk

There are a few ideas about loosing your taste and how some people try and cure it. I lost mine for about six weeks and had a cough and man flu at the same time, but just put it down to my lungs kick starting again
